Im not sure if bleed through is in TU at the moment, but if not i do think it should be making a return. Bleed through has always been a big part of halo for me, and i do think if brought back, it would be welcomed by a lot of players, and make reach more enjoyable.
Bleedthrough had a bug which when you used a health pack, it showed the wrong health on your HUD.
It was removed for that reason and won’t be returning.
I know of this glitch, but is there really no way to fix this :(, im sure a lot of people would agree that bleed through was a great addition to reach
bleed through was a horrible addition to reach …

Please don’t state your option like a fact, a lot would disagree with you.

343i seem to agree with me …

In my opinion bleed through was a horrible addition to reach.

How in the hell did you get that?
It was removed due to a bug, not because it was bad in 343i’s eyes.

They wouldn’t have added it in the first place if it was that bad.
You have really nice opinions.

adding things that breaks things is a horrible addition …

As far as I can see, it made the game a hell of a lot better in terms of competitive gameplay, heck, even MLG kept it in their settings, despite the health pack bug, even bumped their settings back up to 100% for melee.
“They didn’t know it was bad until they added it”
Implying they didn’t test it for months before the TU was released, including the TU Beta playlist.

i thought inconsistencies and randomness was bad for competitive gameplay? bleed through creates randomness and inconsistencies.
not everything shows up in testing, its not untill it actually gets implemented do some problems actually appear because of hundreds of games getting played every secound, in testing it may have looked good but when implemented it when in the complete opposite direction.
oh and sitri, yes, bloom is a bad addition in reach, though it doesn’t actually break anything.

Randomness?
If you actually looked at the guys shields before trying to run in for a kill, you would know if he was weak enough to kill him with a melee or ask your team mates how many shots they landed on him before you try to shoot him in the head for a bleedthrough headshot.
It adds a lot more depth into the aspect of team work, heck, if you feel comfortable with this, call it advanced team work, because it takes a lot more skill.
But hey, this is just my opinion right.
> i thought inconsistencies and randomness was bad for competitive gameplay? bleed through creates randomness and inconsistencies.
Bleedthrough is only random when you’re using the spray and pray automatic weapons. Which you shouldn’t be in the first place, so it is fine.
> not everything shows up in testing, its not untill it actually gets implemented do some problems actually appear because of hundreds of games getting played every secound, in testing it may have looked good but when implemented it when in the complete opposite direction.
In testing it is fine. There was a rare glitch, but it was 100% avoided if you stayed out of melee fights.
> oh and sitri, yes, bloom is a bad addition in reach, though it doesn’t actually break anything.
Yes it does. The DMR is meant to be a medium-range rifle. The bloom on it allows the weapon to operate well in close quarters, due to a larger reticule.

you can be 4sk or 5sk on full shields, its practically random on which one, full health can actually be 1 bar of health, conflicting user interface creates inconsistencies and those inconsistencies lead to random outcomes.
sitri, staying out of mele range doesn’t help when it also effected weapons and CQC is a core part of halo itself so if you have to avoid it to avoid a glitch then obviously its breaking a core aspect.
bloom doesn’t actually break anything, the DMR worked as it was meant to just players use it differently.

I just tested this, it is completely impossible to kill someone in four shots, with a DMR, while they are in Red Health on any level including 5 blocks of red health, 4, 3, 2 & 1.
It is ALWAYS a 5SK.
It isn’t inconsistent at all.
> you can be 4sk or 5sk on full shields, its practically random on which one, full health can actually be 1 bar of health, conflicting user interface creates inconsistencies and those inconsistencies lead to random outcomes.
It is impossible to die in 4 shots with full shields. Unless you take greater than one, but less than two DMR bullet’s worth of damage. Period. It is not inconsistent, you just don’t like it.
> sitri, staying out of mele range doesn’t help when it also effected weapons and CQC is a core part of halo itself so if you have to avoid it to avoid a glitch then obviously its breaking a core aspect.
You avoid taking health damage from a melee. Kill a player before they punch you. The glitch also only ever happens with melee.
> bloom doesn’t actually break anything, the DMR worked as it was meant to just players use it differently.
It is no longer a marksman rifle when the reticule is the size of a dime.
