I had my fill of getting nailed to the wall by teammates because I was lucky enough to spawn near a power weapon THEY wanted and I got it first.
Oddly enough I feel like thats less of an issue in Infinite overall, at least in BTB (which was where I got betrayed most of the time it felt like, at least intentionally). Might be just how random power weapons are or that they spawn more frequently.
Or maybe the fanbase is just more chill. Not sure.
For starters people are going to Grenade Spam no matter what. So it doesn’t really matter if betrayal is on or not. Its just like how people complain about the Boltshot in Halo 4 years ago. People are still going to use the boltshot even if the range is decrease to were it feels useless. If something is powerful people will always use it to win the game. Which is why most people use the BR in Halo is because how Overwhelming Powerful it is compared to other weapons.
But to answer your question I’m absolutely against betrayals being turned on. The only time betrayals should be turned on is if someone is carrying the objective like the Skull in Oddball or the Flag in CTF. Only because if a player isn’t playing the game correctly like taking the flag the opposite direction then you need a way to take them out. Yeah you should get a 45 second to 60 second respawn time but you do have the choice to do so to help the team out.
But as far for anyone else that’s not carrying the objective friendly fire should stay off.
I don’t want to be betrayed for no reason or because someone else is having a horrible day or is High or Drunk or doesn’t care about winning or losing or they want a certain weapon that I have or they literally just like getting on people’s nerves.
Running into one of those types of players can be extremely and annoying and toxic.
hell no noway please for god not bring back the betrayals back in halo again.
it was in halo 4 and older halo game’s compleet broken and a god damm hell with the betray system and also compleet broken.
people need to understand is that in the other halo game’s that got the friendly fire on was the worst stupids thing ever since it was a compleet hell for a lot off players.
in the other halo’s how much time’s you not get a funny guy that is betraying there team compleet and he was destroying the fun for the rest off the players.
how many time’s have players not have been betray by there team mate’s for there power weapons there got and pickt up first.
how many time’s players not have been betray for the vehicles like the scorpoin tank.
and in some game mode’s it was more worse then hell with the betray system like griftball where it was raining more betray’s then in other game mode’s.
there is no way i wane make that crap again in the halo game’s any more.
and for the people that wane have the betray system coming back in halo you most thank the funny guys that have abuse it in the older halo game’s when there think it was funny to do things like that for the fun and destroy the fun for the other players.
Lmao. I’m not trying to be like, objective here, but for me personally man. The game feels so cheap without collision and betrayals. Like the other players are just illusions in a videogame and aren’t really there.
the only way to betray in halo infinite now is with a vehicles if you drive hard and only works for few sec after you team mate’s have respan i think not know it 100% sure.
question do you also like the funny guy’s that betray you for your power weapon or vehicle’s or are in a funny mood to betray there own team for the fun and destroy it for the other players in there own team?
thats the problem in the halo game’s from halo 4 and older with the kick system.
since it was a compleet broken system.
if the players can kick the betrayer’s only from the match what it was in the older halo game’s was compleet crap and broken.
and here a other question about your crazy idea: how do you know the betray was a accident or not?
a system cant make a diffrend between a accident betray or somebody doing it for the fun.
if i shoot with the rocket launcher to a enemy player and a team mate is comming by mistake to close to the enemy player and also get hits by the blast from the rocket launcher then how do you know its a accident or not.
the only thing what there can do is use the COD hardcore playlist’s betray system.
that means after X time’s betray between X time match’s you get kickt from the match and get a bann for X time and only become’s more for betraying your team mate’s to much.
bad side from it that accidents betray’s also count so that are things we need to deal with.
its the same with the quiting problem in the halo game’s now there have add a banning system that you get bann from matchmaking after X time’s quits and between X time’s match’s.
that means also if you get a disconnected from the server by server problems or network problems it also count and we all have see players are not happy about it that it also counts but we all wane have a strong banning system for the mass quiters.
in halo 4 i have see people doing it that betray there compleet team sometime’s and also have feel it.
and the betray for the power weapon and vehicle’s also in halo 4 and halo reach here and there.
There is already a autokick and a manual kick system in place. All 343 has to do is reduce the counter of teamkills until you can kick a player. Right now it’s 3, too much to handle toxic players. Reduce it to one, there won’t be a big problem because who wants to kick a teammate after an accidetly teamkill?
Beside, it would be pretty easy to support it with an automated system.
But in the end, it doesn’t matter. 343 want to attract casual players so there won’t be a change.
Halo just isn’t Halo without friendly fire. It may not feel good to be killed for a troll or because you took my sniper, but it just doesn’t feel right. It’s like something is missing. And as much as i love shooting around my team with a rocket, i hate being killed like that more.
3 is fine. People tend to jump into teammate grenades just to kick them, ive seen this done a lot in btb in reach. That game had a 3 strike rule too, imagine how much worse a 1 strike rule would be. Plus, 1 kill and a boot ain’t nothing. They can just spend the whole game taking down your shields instead of doing a betray.
Oh betrayal is definitely still a thing. Just ask my buddy when he gets his hands on the ghost and somehow can’t “control” his movement and splatters me.
3 is fine since there are still people that think its a good idea to come close to your team mate’s fire or grenate trow’s.
but here is a good idea you most think about if you wane see friendly fire on.
ask 343i on the forum for a Hardcore Playlist.
the same thing cod game’s have been doing for years in there multiplayer game’s.
a Core friendly fire off playlist and a Hardcore playlist with friendly fire on.
then there can add the same playlist’s in the hardcore playlist there also have in the core playlist.
only the rule’s are diffrend from each other since 1 is more casual players free and the other not.
or is it more that you think its then becoming more cod if there add a Core playlist with Core rule’s for all the playlist’s in it.
and a hardcore playlist with hardcore rule’s.
My favorite part pf betrayals is kicking people who KO teammates. Like this one time my friend and I were playing a big team game. He went to the bathroom between games. A new game started, and it took him about one more minute to come back and grab his controller.
In the short time he was AFK, one teammate after another murdered him, and every time, I grabbed his controller and kicked them. By the time he came back, we were down to three people on our team! Hilarious.
its more the SWAT game mode rule’s + friendly fire mode on in the other game type’s like CTF or king of the hill.
that means you have no shields, you get more damage, no rader, no health restore and friendly fire is on.
that means you need to think twice before you trow a plasma or fusion coil or a grenate then.
we all know the social and ranked playlist’s.
why not add also a hardcore option with the SWAT game type rule’s + friendly fire on.
then you can play Hardcore CTF or Hardcore Slayer or Hardcore Oddball or hardcore King of the hill.
the fun part is that the one shot kills are more commen there then normal.
thats more what cod game’s have for years long a basic normal core playlist to choose out from and the hardcore version where things like friendly fire and less health and more damage and no mini map has.
