Why assault is gone is beyond me, I understand that without Elites invasion wouldn’t quite be the same but theres no reason it shouldn’t exist as a skirmish type thing. I would just love to have both of these back. Assault was my favorite and Invasion has so much potential in customs and from forgers, though I hated it in matchmaking.
I just want 343 to see this. I know people have complained about Invasion being gone but the community has been quite when it comes to Assault. Does any one care?
All Invasion really was was an Assault/Defend game. They could easily have that without Elites, one team attacks the other defends.
And yes I support it’s return. Invasion was one of the few reasons I kept Reach for as long as I did as I really enjoyed that one gametype.
Assault, VIP, Juggernaut, Race, 1 flag CTF, neutral flag CTF, bring them all back.
I’d love to have invasion back, because it has so much potential. And to be honest, 343 badly organized the gametypes. I mean rather than adding grifball, they should have added assault, with a grifball variant. Rather than regicide, they should have added VIP, with a variant where the prerequisite for VIP is having the highest score, or it could be some juggernaut variant. Also, the new flood model for infection really ruined its customizability. Because the flood arm is part of the model, you can’t add different weapons for the infected loadouts.
