Just keep in mind that this is just an opinion, but a lot of the halo 4 maps were not well put together. A lot of xbl peeps get excited when we go toe to toe on either a halo 2 or halo 3 map.
Also, halo 4 felt a lot like COD. Do not take this personally, but if I wanted to play COD, that’s the game I would have bought instead of Halo 4. It honestly felt like 343 was testing the waters and thought to themselves “well a lot of people like COD, so why don’t we just create a futuristic COD…”
The armor sets concept was a good idea, however I feel there is room for vast improvement. A lot of armor sets (once again my opinion) make us look like bugs.
Lastly, the ranking system was not well-put-together at all. So far, I think the best ranking was Halo 2. I cannot count with my hands nor feet how many times I have taken on a person like is around 30 levels higher than myself or my xbl party. At least halo 2 (1-50 ranking) put you as lose to their ranks as possible. That is a main reason why I go halo over COD is because of the ranking system…
> At least halo 2 (1-50 ranking) put you as lose to their ranks as possible.
I think this one is an unfair criticism. The population is low enough that between rank, party size, and region filtering it is almost impossible to get them all right.
Agreed Halo 2 was awesome
I can see ur point of view, however to a certain extent…
That is why each gametype had its own levelsas opposed to one complete overall ranking… The only thing that this game is seriously missing from COD is a prestige mode. They even had loadouts in this game which is something that was NEVER in a halo game nor should it ever be put back there.
If you need different loadouts for your game types, then you seriously need to go play COD because the loadouts are like training wheels to counter against your enemy…
Halo 2 and 3 were definitely my favourites but all the Halo’s have something to offer. Think they just need to take the good things from all the past Halos now and combine them. I actually am really enjoying Reach campaign on legendary for the first time at the moment. I was never really a fan of Reach but it has some strong points aswell.
Halo 2’s ranking system was a joke, and broken. Also, it was very generalized, it gave you a over all rank, not a rank based on what gametype/mod you’re good at, so even tho you could have a 50 on your team, you don’t know if he’s good at FFA slayer, team slayer, oddball, KotH, CTF, or any other gametype, you also don’t know if he actually earned that rank, or just forked over some money to some guy to buy that account.
Tho I agree with the idea of bring back and learn/improve what was good in the past, and fix and learn from the mistakes from the past, I don’t agree with limiting to just one single game. YES, I understand that Halo 2 was very popular to a lot of people, but it’s not the only Halo game that people like and enjoyed. There are lots of things between Halo CE and Halo 4 that are good, and people like, enjoy, and worked well, but there’s also a lot of mistakes and broken features in every Halo game.
> Agreed Halo 2 was awesome
I agree zonealarm needs to return
Halo 2 ranks + Proper anti-cheating and enforcement = AWESOME
> Halo 2 ranks + Proper anti-cheating and enforcement = AWESOME
I love those rank emblems i miss them the latest Halo ranks is pretty poorly made.
Anyone remember that part in Halo 2 when you`re just about to go fight hunters, then Blow Me Away by Breaking Benjamin came from no where. Yea that was awesome, but shouldnt be done with this anoying dubstep stuff.
Who wants Enforcers? Because I want Enforcers! Really really badly actually.
And a bit of the Breaking Benjamin stuff too. That was cool at times, but ill-fitting at others.
