Seriously I don’t see the praise for Halo 4’s campaign. I could understand MC losing it if he thought Blue and Halsey we’re dead but with them alive he really wouldn’t care about Cortana dying or should I say he wouldn’t have the gaping loneliness that he’s meant to feel at the end of the game. Even when Johnson, Jacob and Miranda died he just mournfully gazed at them with in pause, I doubt he’d have an emotional crisis over losing someone he barely knows. The Ttme they spent together adds up to what two weeks to a month? Yeah I doubt she means more to him then Halsey and Blue team.
The only reason he went back for her in Halo 3 was because the man keeps his promises. Actually he never even promised her anything she said that for all we know and this is even in the games MC went back for Cortana not because he felt it was a show or honor but because he needed the activation index for the Halo ring.
Every time I think they learned something they do yoink like that…
Was H5’s messed up campaign completly his fault? No!
But in comparison to other campaign writers his performance was just a letdown

I’ll try to stay optimistic. Maybe he’ll finally flesh out one of his new characters, such as Infinity Comms.
Hopefully he will learn from his mistakes.

Brian Reed wasn’t Halo 4’s lead writer. Chris Schlerf was Halo 4’s lead writer. Brian Reed was Halo 4’s Co-writer.
