Why can 343 not do this for BTB? Bring back ranked BTB!!!

Breakout has a somewhat large population as well. The problem isn’t the population, it’s how poorly the ranking system is implemented, and it’s matching logic for finding players.
If 343i can fix that, then I would happily say yes to adding it. As of now, it’s still a mess that needs to be fixed.
Breakout is terrible as it is right now.
BTB has always been one of the more populated playlists and I can easily find games in H5’s BTB. It’s not ranked because it has too many quitters in it.

good reply and yes, ppl easily quit all the time when they faced a good team. but that was before there was a quit out algorythym, maybe now they wont quit since its more enforced?

I found that less players quit when it was ranked. I would support ranked BTB to return, however I highly doubt that it will. Too many players concerned that there are not enough social options.

I don’t know the quitting numbers, but I do remember that it was one of the main complaints from people on the forums and I think 343 granted them their wish.

I don’t know them for sure either. I do know I played the frak out of that playlist when k it was ranked, and some right after. I can almost guarantee that more players started quitting. However, I acknowledge I could be wrong. It has been known to happen. I don’t remember a lot of members complaining about quitting. I remember a lot of concerns for not enough Social playlists.
I don’t know. One thing I know for sure two different players can remember the same situation or occurrence completely differently. It’s all about individual perspectives.

Doesn’t Halo 5 BTB already has a hidden ranking system? I know that that isn’t the same as a visible rank, I just was wondering if it was still there. I personally prefer BTB being a social non-ranked playlist, as I don’t want to try really hard for a rank.

agreed, especially for something like btb. I can understand 2v2 and 4v4 stuff being ranked but anything else no. Not to mention btbs nature has always been social to begin with, no need to force ranks in a mode not made for it AND in a game (h5) that’s already got to many ranked playlists to begin with.
BTB is already sweaty enough as an unranked playlist. I really would not like it ranked.

That could explain why I encountered a lot of tryhards in social playlists and add the fact that they also track your K/D & W/L ratio to our overall stat. I’ll say the hidden rank plays as a filter system for matchmaking but I wish they let loss of the hidden rank like Halo: Reach.

Quitting penalties have existed since halo 2 343 didn’t invent it.
BTB is a joke in my opinion. 343i had the opportunity to make it really BTB, many of us suggested that we would like 8v8 up to 16v16 or 24v24. Warfare on a massive scale without the reqs, but no, we got Warzone with a pathetic excuse for BTB tacked on after release. Breakout being ranked is good, if you like it. I don’t think I’ve played it tbh.

and the maps are forge maps instead of dev maps which means that they aren’t “good” enough for ranked. All of the forge maps in arena in ranked I hate. I guess it doesn’t really matter to me though because I cant find a game in it anyway.
