It’s become very obvious that the servers are way too lenient when it comes to punishments for team killing in Breakout. I’ve noticed a trend this week that has been both frustrating and infuriating. At first I thought it was just an isolated incident, until it happened about 10 more times in different matches by lots of different players.
Many times, at the start of a breakout match, I would make it to the battle rifle first and pick it up. And MANY times, one of my teammates who also wanted the battle rifle, decides to just team kill me immediately so that they can take it instead. Had this happen 4 or 5 times during the same match, committed by the same player, and they don’t get booted. In a game like breakout where you only get 1 life per round, it’s devestating to the team to be short handed right off the bat over something so immature as the player not being the first person to reach the battle rifle. I have filed many reports to xbox live regarding the players who do this. In a game type like breakout it should be way stricter when it comes to punishing repeated team killing.
Agreed, it is a really -Yoink- thing to do. What’s even worse is usually when that happens to me, the person who killed me is utter garbage with the BR or DMR.

I’ll also add that I’ve seen a few accidents in breakout with grenades or me myself when I first started playing. I used to have a tendency to shoulder charge like it was a thrust boost to speed up a little faster but had teammates run in front once I activated it. lesson learned I only use it in warzone since I can’t team kill like that.
+1. Just happened to me in my last game, it completely ruined it. Mainly because I’m childish and petty, and had to get revenge on the betraying “teammate”, so spent the rest of the game shooting at him. Needless to say we lost.
IMO any teammate that betrays should receive a ban. And if they do it a lot, a longer ban.
I would be lieing to say that I haven’t done this. I only do it after 2 rounds when the same guy grabs it and dies within 5sec of grabbing it or has 0 kills. Then I grab it or make sure someone else who isn’t garbage grabs it.
A teammate and I both team for the BR and he eneed up getting it. I hit melee button being frustrated I was too slow not realizing it team damage was on and I killed him. I have been playing a lot of SWAT. I didn’t want to waste the BR do I picked it up while feeling bad for what I did. I killed 3 of the 4 on the other team and won the round. The other guy got revenge the next round and continued over the remaining rounds. We lost 1 victory to 5.

yeah gambol is the WORST for this. I get it the first round and do work, 2nd round do work…3rd I miss it. Not only do I not have it now, but the other player has decided theyre going to leave the tower, disregard invis AND tower, run through the middle of the map and die…leaving the damn thing in the middle of the map…this has happened to me TOO many times and it drives me up the wall. If you want it, say something and I’ll give it up…but you better make use of it, because im sure as -Yoink- the guy in the other tower is gonna run train on us and theyre going to get invis if you dont…I go for it next round, get it…boom dead, hes pissed…thanks bud, great team work right there…just great.
I too have suffered from such things. I’ve had it happen to multiple of my team-mates without a BR or whatever being the root cause, which is pathetic and a huge annoyance!

I also just finished a game struggling against a Betrayer. He couldn’t get the BR before I did, so he would attempt to kill me. Finally had to let him get two betrayals so I could boot him.

The other day in BTB I was sprinting across an open spot trying to get to cover fast and my friend was running from that spot and jumped out of nowhere and scared me so bad I spartan charged him. I was so glad it was my friend because he laughed. Any other team mate would have probably killed me. I always worry about that on BTB. So many people sometimes it is hard to not have people jump in front of your stuff and get hurt and then I worry they will just think I did it on purpose and try and kill me. That happened to my bf once. He took a power weapon off a guy right after someone hit him with a grenade. The guy kept following my bf killing him, I guess he thought he had betrayed him for the weapon.
Has happened to me a bunch. One game I was playing with my cousin, we jump off the man canons and the other guys (who were in a clan) thought it would be funny to instantly kill us. Literally thenext 2 games in a row, I was betrayed for grabbing BR and a guy sent me a hat message saying if I picked it up again hed betray again.
lesson learned I only use it in warzone since I can’t team kill like that.
