I am not normally a Breakout player. I decided that it was time that I endure through ten matches and rank.
I thought I was doing well. Finished with a decent K/D and won 8/10 games. I was expecting to at least get Platinum, as that’s what I’ve gotten in everything else, and I have a better win percentage this time around.
Nope, instead it puts me in Gold 5. Which makes me wonder wtf you have to do to get to diamond, let alone Onyx or Champion in this playlist.
Can someone explain this ranking system to me? So far, I think this is the worst of the ranking structures that a Halo game has had.

Bro I here you 1000 percent. I had the same thing happen to me in doubles. Me and my friend did all ten together, I had like 45 more kills, 20ish less deaths and about 15 more assist. He got a plat 3 or 4 and I got a gold 2. It’s a freakin joke.
I cannot control who i get put against.
How do I get a stronger performance than a teammate and get a worse ranking.
I’ve literally won multiple doubles game by myself in gold because I do not belong there lol. This system is wonky.

What? It makes perfect sense actually. Keep playing and yu will gradually play against higher levels and you will also level up. You have any friends with a higher rank that will play with you so you can play higher levels and level up faster?

The game will not put you against high levels if you are unraked
The game keeps track all your stats
i doubles i got gold also but kept playing now im Plat.

You are wrong about point 1. I’ve seen unranked players in team arena where i’m currently diamond 3, and free for all where im diamond 1, and slayer where i’m plat 6. Also i watch some pros on youtube and i’ve seen unranked in in champion lobbies.
Then maybe the game matches you based on your overall average from your game history in that playlist. Because it would not be fair to match new combers with diamond onyx or campion. There is more than i wont 80% of ten games in total.
Yeah before the update with the fix in aiming, I had a really rough time with this game. I was still competitive but in doubles i got a gold. I didnt do to well either but still a gold. Now that I can shoot, it has been a world of a difference. So i understand that the game would start me with playing golds but if i’m destroying them, obviously it’s time to move up. I can easily grind out of gold but I’m not gonna become a better player smashing on lower skilled players. I want to be better so i wanna play against onyxs. I think i’m ready.

your winning and losing against people around the same rank (mostly winning i know). Your loses that i see are usually against unranked players. I only went through your history until your las DNF in doubles so i only saw about 10 of your games.
I’ve played a few since qualifying. I mostly use them to warm up but again I can’t control who it matches me with. Even still i should qualify the same as my bud who got plat 3. With the other playlist I got a few matches against onyx players, so i had my chance to show my stuff (which is really all i want) but not wit doubles.
I have no idea how anyone could ever predict where they should be ranked based on this system. There doesn’t seem to be a method the their madness. It just puts you where it puts you and you just have to work your way up from there.
Same thing happened to me. I don’t remember how many games I won, but I played with a team of four for the ranking in team arena and finished with like a 1.5 k/d. One guy got diamond, two got plat 3 or 4, and I gold gold 3. I just went in by myself and destroyed people until I got to plat. Doesn’t make any sense, but just treat it like a 1-50 rank and keep playing. If you are good enough you’ll rank up out of it.
