I don’t really like how Breakout is no longer ranked/competitive as it is one of the most competitive game modes I have ever played. You need full co-ordination with your team to win, without it, every round is a struggle. As for Doubles, yeah you need to be co-ordinated but what if your teammate leaves? You’re stuck in a 2 vs 1 which you’ll probably lose. From my experience whenever that happens it’s super boring just searching for that one guy either hiding or actually trying. In Breakout if one player leaves, it’s usually not to big of a deal. I know I’m not the only one that thinks this way.
The problem is that in breakout is that it became pretty long time to wait just to find a match. sometimes you would never get a match in the higher ranks. The decision to make it unranked, allowing for people to find each other regardless of rank is a step in the right direction unless the population goes up.
I never played it enough to learn the maps and struggled even against people my own skill level. Playing against even better folks doesn’t sound fun.
Yeah, I thought it was weird that breakout wasn’t rankled. Probably rankled some people a little bit. 
I never really liked breakout in the first place (imo). But I guess it just lost popularity, and that’s why 343 made It an unranked playlist. But its still weird that they would create a competitive game, then make it unranked.
I couldn’t care less about Breakout.
As a playability choice it makes sense so that really good players can find games easily but it seems stupid to anyone who does not understand this because breakout was easily marketed as one of the most competitive game modes in all of Halo 5.

I was consistently onyx in breakout and champion last season. I’m not happy that my search time has gone down and it’s really not that bad anyways if you’re in a party with people (which is basically the only way to play in that CSR) it’s just not fun or competitive anymore the population really couldn’t have been that low it’s not like it shows how many people are in each playlist who knows. But yeah there is now no reason for me to play, I get terrible matchups, no sense of accomplishment when winning since it’s a joke now, and nothing to grind for, very disappointing. Meanwhile slayer shows up in team arena AND has its own playlist…K

Completely agree with you. No point playing Breakout now. Matched with teammates who haven’t got a clue, which is essential in Breakout and no sense of accomplishment hits the nail on the head.
Made a thread about this a while ago, I almost never play the game anymore.
