With the release of the August 2016 season came the addition of a permanent ranked Team Doubles playlist which fans have asked for for quite some time—and that’s great! However, when I turned on my Xbox to play some breakout I noticed something. It’s unranked. The breakout community is nowhere near as large as Team Slayer and Arena but it does have a decent following. There is a very competitive community in this playlist and I see absolutely no reason to remove it from the set of ranked playlists. Our entire community is genuinely saddened by the removal of competition from breakout. I truly hope this is some sort of glitch that the Halo team is working on fixing and was not intentional. However, if it was, I would love to know the reason for the removal of competition in Halo 5’s premier gametype that we have all come to know and love.
This is so disappointing, with each update they add something great but something else always seems to suffer. There is 8 to 10 of us that play breakout nightly and we were looking forward to the new season… Smh
I’m very upset about this. Breakout is what brought me and a couple others into Halo 5 multiplayer. To take it out as a ranked playlist makes me have a hard time even playing the game anymore. Love slayer and team arena, but i like breakout way more. This sucks
