Breakout Map ideas

I am excited to say that I will be building my first real Halo 5 forge map soon! I think that it will likely be a Breakout map.

I would like to hear any ideas that can possibly help me think of a concept.

I am also interested in trying to create a remake of the CS:GO map Dust 2 with the Breakout Style. Would anybody be interested in this?
Disclaimer: I am not a CS:GO fan or player. I have just heard that this map is good and I could potentially use it to convince some o my friends to lay fForge with me, which might get them into Halo, which is always a good thing.

Make sure the map isn’t too big, because it could lead to slow rounds.

I’ve played Dust2 and it’s a good map for that game. Since you are making a Breakout version, make sure to add more areas for height advantages and cover.

Perhaps I’ll make a replica version and then a slightly modified version for Halo 5 and its mechanics. I obviously will not be submitting this map as a potential map. I do have this one idea I’ve started working on that involves a BTB map with a Phaeton on it. This one I am thinking of submitting.

I’ll be sure to check this out. I would love my WIP (work in progress) BTB map to be accepted into the game. It wil have a Phaeton, which I will ensurer is significantly hindered by the map design.

Here is a link to my experimenting with the Breakout style. I built a bunch of random blocks to see what they look like, and I built one somewhat interesting structure.

It also makes a fun minigame to try to jump around the map only touching each object once and touching them all without touching the ground. This is not the intended mode for the final product. :wink:
