As I do not have an external hard drive for my Xbox 360 (and have little interest in the Xbox One) I cannot download user-created gametypes. As I’m a big fan of the Breakout mode in Halo 5: Guardians from what I’ve played of it, I’d like to recreate it in Halo 4.
Using the settings Halo 4 gives players, how can I recreate Breakout? And how should I substitute potential elements which cannot be recreated?
That sounds like a question for someone who has experience with Forge. I would imagine you can create something similar using SWAT rules
I tried re-creating it in Halo 4, but either my forging skills just suck or it doesn’t really work. What? Well, I put the red flag base near blue spawns and vice versa, ok, but every time I enter in Customs, it’s like if it’ll reset and red flag goes back to red spawn and vice versa. If that issue is fixed, then it can be recreated.
You have to make AR, Magnum starts with Thruster Pack, 2 nades or none (don’t remember if you start with nades) and remove shielding, or atleast put a very weak shield to prevent snipes with Magnums across the map. Halo 5 has very low aim assist compared to any other Halo game (aside from CE, maybe Halo 3 too because of Projectile weapons), making sniping more difficult.
Maps must have equal mirrored grounding in both sides. What I mean is that the map must be designed exactly the same on both sides, only mirrored. Most Halo 4 maps don’t work, so you’ll probably have to design it yourself in Forge Islands and Ravine… oh, and Impact.
It’s pretty much possible to do in H2A, H3, HR, H4 and (Obviously) H5.

It can work but you need a fairly talented Forger to create at least one map that would work for the gametype. The settings would basically be like SWAT which makes things interesting as well.
It would have to be breakout 2.0 with the shotgun and magnum.
