Breakout death boredom solution!

Ever get bored in a breakout gametype when you die and have nothing to do but spectate surviving teammates? Unless you have a mic and make callouts while dead to a living player you’re spectating, there’s not much you can really do. I have a solution.

Introducing the waiting room, a small, simple arena map for people waiting for breakout matches to end. When you die in breakout, you have a choice to either spectate or go to the waiting room. In the waiting room, an all out free-for-all takes place. You always respawn in your own personal starting room, filled with an assortment of your favorite pre-determined weapons that you chose prior to the match. This room has a one-way door to the arena, where you can fight without any records showing what you did there. That means no kills or deaths qualify for your K/D. You don’t earn medals or REQ points by participating in the waiting room. It is nothing but simple entertainment.

What do you think-good? Or the other one?

I love this idea lol

Breakout rounds aren’t long enough for this “waiting room” idea to ever be a thing…

First, unless you’re really bad and die 5 seconds into each round, you won’t have enough time to get any kills in a side game… Or even enough time to die and respawn before the breakout round ends.

Second, the whole point of breakout is to have a penalty for death (like not respawning…)

Third, if you get THAT bored after waiting for an average of 45secs-1min… You have bigger problems. I barely have time for a bathroom break between full matches without backing out, and am normally in the pregame lobby longer than the spectating screen.

It isn’t really a long wait to have the next round begin. I enjoy watching the battle. If you’re bored, play on your phone or something.

But would you want it during Tank World?

I don’t play Action Sack

Breakout probably isn’t long enough for this.

Tank World, on the other hand…

The waiting room could be Octagon.

This is the best idea i’ve heard all day. This could make up for how crappy breakout is.

If you could create a ski box above the arena it would work well. That way people could still do call outs or just mess around.

How about after you die an option will appear to start a mini game of something like Tetris for example?

You can’t do that. People bought this game to play Halo, not Tetris.

Use forge pieces and now it’s Halo. Anyway, it was only an example of one type of mini game.
