Breakout commendations

I feel like the breakout commendations are too difficult relatively to the other ‘game mode’ commendations. Especially the ‘survive a full breakout match’ and ‘win a game outnumbered’. I feel like its gonna take me way too long to get those too.

How did you finish these commendations? Or are you struggling to get these as well?

It is a tedious task but is manageable, you can also complete the commendation in the breakout gamemodes in action sack

Action sack is the best for breakout commendations.

It’s very challenging, but in my opinion Breakout 2.0 makes things a lot easier.

  1. For the “Against All Odds,” it’s kind of luck of the draw. Play smart and hope to get a few opportunities to acquire it. It does help to play Action Sack here, since you can get it in Tank World, Paintball, or Mantis Breakout.

Worth mentioning - You don’t have to WIN 2v1 or whatever… merely survive the round. Sometimes hiding is best, especially in Tank World, where you’re generally hosed if it comes to that.

  1. For the “Unstoppable,” you have to do one or all of the following…
  • Be a selfish, non-team-player and hide in the base (hoping that your teammates don’t kill you out of rage when you aren’t really playing). The enemy team, if they’re going for the flag in 2.0, don’t really have any reason to go into your base unless their goal is to find and kill you. - Play a few rounds, hope for the best, and if you have a shot at it, just play smart and don’t expose yourself too much on radars. This is generally what I tend to do so that I’m not being completely lame to my team and still having fun actually playing the game. - Get really, really lucky.Tips - Action Sack is great for this if you have a good team. You only need to survive three rounds of Breakout in theory if your team is winning each round, instead of five in the actual Breakout playlist. If you go in with a team of four, oftentimes you’ll get lucky because people often leave those games in Action Sack, so you get a virtual guaranteed win in a 4v3 scenario. In actual Breakout, I stick to the same, somewhat reserved game plan for each map, until it doesn’t work for me, and that tends to work well.

I haven’t completed either commendation yet, but using those tips for Breakout 2.0, I got an Unstoppable on 3 of my 4 matches last Thursday night.

yooo thanks dude! Thats really helpful, gonna try this!

This one requires both luck and skill and is just one of those commendations that make people play the game negatively just to complete it.

I feel that it would be easier if they made it “Win 1000 rounds of Breakout”. At lease this way you can play the game to win and still get it especially now that it is a ranked game type.

They are a pain seriously. But Action Sack with a friend or two really helps( IM TRASH at Paintball junkies lol ). Hiding out is a good idea to, sucks for the team and all. Still myself haven’t completed any of them, it takes a grind and I should really try. I get put off after a bad loss or something…

For Immortals in breakout 2.0 play smart and don’t chase. Know how to read your team of randoms (if solo). The goal of round 1 is to read your team and the opposition, and don’t die. ALWAYS STAY ON YOUR END OF THE MAP. If your team is flag grabbers, hang out near your end and give them cover but don’t be a hero. If the other team is flag grabbers, that’s even better. Let them take it. You aren’t going for wins, you are going for immortals. You gotta put on a show for your dead spectating team mates but make sure you don’t encounter any enemies. Look busy and crouch walk to stay off radar. Sometimes everyone ignores the flag. That makes it tougher. Look engaged but defend an area (camp) and be prepared to go full Rambo if you need to.

The 1v2 there is a set up that at least gives you a shot at it. Simply be the last guy alive on your team consistently and hope you don’t run out of talent. Remember though, if it’s 1v3 you only need to kill 2 (hope the 3rd guy scores the flag) and you’ll get the bifecta medal. If it’s 1v2 you gotta kill them both. Think of it as getting rewarded for how many kills you get as last man, and you need to get 2 kills to get the Bifecta.

I’ve played 340ish breakout 2.0 games this season and got 60 something immortals using that method. I finished that commendation. Still need 10 trifecta/bifecta. Get your commendations done now. You can be a good team mate later haha.

Also just hiding during a 1v2 and letting the other team score the flag or letting the time run out doesn’t get you a medal in breakout 2.0. Does it in tank world? Can you hide in the tank room and let time run out and get a medal?

Two people in here, Unsenses and Sacr3d are gonna be working together to finish all the Arena commendations. If you want to tag along, just add me on Xbox and we’all work it out

Thanks, thats helpful as well!

Only two commendations that I still need, the outnumbered one (need 3 more) and immortal ( on level 4 with 4 of 15) and haven’t really focused on getting them and not a big breakout player I also usually run solo or with a family member. Makes it a bit harder, I think. As stated above, you can get a few in action sack. I also just tried Vadersuncle66’s advice above and got an immortal in one game. Go figure lol.

And don’t forget, you can get “against all odds” by capturing the flag in breakout 2.0 while being the last man alive of your team (granted that there are at least two ennemies still alive)

I gave a lot of tips above to help make it easier and less luck-based, but I agree with you when you said it’d be better just to play to win the game. This is one of those commendations that unfortunately ruins part of the Breakout / MP experience because people who want them (myself included) are forced to play in a way that the goal is to survive, not win. It really does screw up that gametype unless you’re someone who’/ just leaps and bounds better than your competition.

Great advice! Weird though, that’s worked for me in the past I believe but maybe I’m wrong - try it in Action Sack and let me know!

I need these commendations. I still have a few left to complete them all. Mostly vehicle (8), ground pound, clamber, flag defense & THESE BO comendations, which I almost never play

Is easy with Breakout 2.0, when was the “normal” Breakout is like the hell survive a full match, watch my medals

Pretty sure it worked in the original breakout but it doesn’t in 2.0. It might in action sack. Depends on which breakout they modeled the medals after I guess.

Most of us in my Spartan Company play Breakout almost exclusively. However, we don’t usually have a full fire team in a game. If you are interested just friend me on Live and we can help. DISCLAIMER: Before someone gets on a pedestal for recruiting- I’m not-I’m just saying if you want to team up we are willing to help out. We are pretty organized as a team. Besides, what do you have to lose? lol
