Let’s break this down point by point and discuss how each of these points will impact the game at a competitive level:
-
I get the feeling this is a CoD-like system. If implemented correctly, the system won’t let everyone unlock everything. Hopefully there will be limits to how far a person can get based on their skill - rather than the Halo: Reach and CoD like system where anyone can unlock anything if they just play. You should be rewarded for skill.
-
This isn’t necessarily a bad addition. It just makes the game friendlier towards a newer player in a way that doesn’t hurt gameplay.
-
Fine. Awesome. I barely notice that anyway.
-
I still wish we could get 60 FPS, but whatevs. Hoorah for higher res.
-
I’m optimistic about this point the most. This could finally settle the arguments over BR/DMR starts vs. AR starts. If you want to start with the AR, you could. But please, don’t let that stop the competitive crowd from starting with an actual decent gun with a large skill gap.
-
Alright. This point actually made me angry. What have we learned from Reach? Randomness = bad in a competitive game. So if I have the knowledge and the ability to time a power weapon, why not reward me for that…? Why give a person who doesn’t a fighting chance. Make him learn the weapon times to get better.

Cool. Campaign. Awesome. Not related to this post.
-
The BR is back. Hopefully a hitscan BR similar to the DMR, else Halo 4 had better have a MUCH better netcode than the Halo 3 BR ran on.
-
Keep this in action sack. I don’t see this turning out well in a competitive playlist.
-
-Yoink!- Zombies >
Let’s get that in Halo 4. Zombie Covvies wat
- THANK. YOU. BASED. GOD. for this. Multiplayer levels from the campaign was a HUGE mistake. Thankfully these levels are being designed seperately. Well done.
Now let’s discuss. Feel free to comment and debate any of these points with me. I’ll be here all afternoon checking this regularly.
Have a nice day.
