So all you guys who dont know who breaking benjamin is, they are a great band that played a song in game with no vocals in halo 2 in the arbiters chambers, if you dont remember http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhBVRAVF5fI&feature=related, that song is played in the mission gravemind, but does anyone think they should do another song for halo 4 or any of the others?
songs called blow me away, damn good song
nostalgiagasm
i know thats why they should be in halo 4
I liked the inclusion of Breaking Benjamin and Incubus in the Halo 2 soundtrack…when all we heard were the instrumental versions (i.e. those without words). As long as future games follow this formula, then I have no problem with unorthodox Halo music.

exactly
ya the intstrumental version is badass and i found it very fitting for the fight, the chiefs last fight in that game, 343 NEEDS THEM IN HALO 4,5, or 6!
I loved that part of the game, but if they use licensed music with lyrics, I’m not sure i’ll be sold. The way this song was used in Halo 2 was the CORRECT way to use licensed music. It doesn’t break immersion, and it adds depth to the musical landscape of the game.
Breaking Benjamin is broken though… and I don’t want anymore unorthodox music in Halo.
what do you mean broken and unorthdox?
“Unorthodox” is referring to anything not within the norm of Martin O’Donnell, Michael Salvatore, or from the upcoming works by Sotaro Tojima. By no means does it infer any negative connotations.

Well, didn’t the band break up?

Technically, they’re still together, however the lead singer fired two of the original members, so now the band consists of two original members (vocals and lead guitar) and two new members (bass and drums).
With half the band gone, it’s almost like they’re a cover band now. I wouldn’t expect them to make any music for Halo 4, however another rock band similar to them might make the cut.
That would be pretty cool. But I say it’s really got to fit the theme of the trilogy, with the whole futuristic business… Godam, the soundtrack sounds so epic. I think i’m gonna have a listen to it right now.

DEAR GOD NO.
It’s still Breaking Benjamin. He is the only sole founder of Breaking Benjamin. He writes and perfects everything with the music and he brought them to play with him. They are in (or were in) a legal battle so that he keeps the rights to the band, which he should considering he is the one who started it. It’s his music, he has always just needed people to play it with him. Ben is a very talented musician and I think there’s a lot more to come from BB still
So cold honestly sounds more “Halo” to me than Blow Me Away. It stands as a Spartan-III theme for myself at least.
Even the video holds a certain affinity to it. ONI (the Puritan leader), leads the S-IIIs (the man) as they carry their burdens (the stone) to their knowing deaths (the end). Their families, already dead, are the majority of the burden the SIIIs take with them. Willingly (as they are already dead to him as he carries his stone of burden, alone, through mud and hole, to his death, willing).
We need real, instrumental, orchestral, choral, beautiful music; not this rock, metal garbage.

And though I love White Snake, Breaking B and Incubus, I have to agree. But more grunge guitar and less… well so damn refined.
I love it when the guitar cues in on the Silent Cartographer, you know the part

If 3OH!3 defiled Halo 4, I’d rip my ears out and mail them to 343
