In answer to this Twitter post: https://twitter.com/Brav/status/641700110221512704?nav=true Here are my hopes/dreams (mainly for rumble pit)
Rumble Pit
- 6 people, not 8. Rumble Pit gets way too chaotic, especially if you end up on some tiny map like Warlord. It becomes less about actual skill-based gameplay, and more about everyone shooting everyone. It feels almost Action-Sack level of chaos. - Throw in some other gametypes. Juggernaut, Regicide, Oddball, King of The Hill. Free For All objectives are super under-played. - Ranked Lone Wolves could be very fun. If this had to be Slayer only, that would be fine.If you can, with the Voting System…
Make it so in Team Doubles, it isn’t always Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4 left to right. This means Halo 2 always, always gets priority, which is super annoying (Not a fan of Halo 2)
In general - Toss in some fan made maps! The voting system results in a lot of maps and gametypes getting played over and over.
Add - MULTITEAM. I loved Multiteam. It was like playing Rumble Pit, but Team Doubles at the same time. It works super well with 2v2v2v2
PRETTY PLEASE give CE more love. My only chance to play it is in the ranked 2v2 playlist, which is too stressful sometimes. CE is great for casual social multiplayer with 4 against 4, and it’s really hard to get an unranked game of it voted for. I feel like it’d be adequate for the Rumble Pit playlist too. Thanks for reading.
Halo 2 needs a separate playlist for big team. Halo 3/4 get voted way too much, especially 3. I wanna play some headlong, waterworks and terminal !!!
Although there is already a plethora of playlists in the Master Chief Collection, I thought off a few more that will enhance the gamer’s experience with diverse maps and gametypes. Multi-Team has always been a fan favorite! Anyone remember Rocket Race in Halo 3? A ‘Community Creations’ playlist could show off the talent of all the Forgers who put hours into their maps. I would love to play Ducain23’s race maps and even the classic Halo 3 custom games. Imagine playing Shotty CTF on Chiron TL34 with 16 players. However, these two playlists will be plagued by quitters and dodgers. So in order to improve the current state of the MCC, a preference system should be implemented so that players can play the games that they want to play. For instance, I love Halo’s 1-3 but hate 4. So then I would rank all the Halo games and then the server would group me with players with similar preferences. That way, the chances of someone quitting will be lowered because everyone will be having fun! It’s a win/win situation. GG 343i
