We know that Halo 5 has eschewed the Halo Reach level of Spartan customisation in favour of ‘a huge selection’ of full sets (helmet/body/visor) you can equip. I was disappointed with the initial variety offered in Halo 4, but found the DLCs offered much more varied and distinguishable sets eg ODST, Prefect etc. Thus I am hoping that we shall see many sets in Halo 5 that are a homage to previous characters
for example Helioskrill resembles the Halo 2/3 Arbiter armour
Nightfall is the traditional ODST armour.
With Buck having elements of his previous role as an ODST encorporate into his new armour, perhaps we can see Army trooper armour, or Marine armour sets. What themed set are you all hoping for?

> The SPI armor is hardly even armor though. Its best feature was the ability to change colors. It did not do much to protect the IIIs from enemy fire.
It was essentially Mjolnir Light (It was bulletproof) besides, S-IIIs in the Spartan Branch would probably use a Mjolnir SPI crossover.

Helioskrill is definitely based off of the halo 5 arbiter

I’m also hoping for some modified SPI armor. I say modified only for increased functionality. I love how it looks on the book cover arts, and it would be a nice homage to the III’s. If there were III’s that were brought into the S-IV fold that used SPI armor in the past it would make sense for them to use something they were somewhat familiar with.
Just give me that rogue-armor baby! Also, jackal, brute, hunter, and promethean armor designs ala helioskrill. It’d be awesome to have more armor based on that stuff. MAKE A HELMET THAT IS JOHNSONS HAT AND FACE MADE OF METAL LIKE A STATUE, PLEEEEASE! I would love to wear johnsons face and hat as if we ripped the head off a memorial and put it on. Give it a cigar too, Oooh I want this.
