Brainstorm session: new gameplay mechanics

If you could ask for one completely new gameplay element or mechanic to be added to Halo, what would it be?

SOEIV Drop pod spawning in MM. Always been a Halo dream of mine.

Variable-mode vehicles for a first person title. We have the Kodiak, Rhino, Cobra, and Blisterback that do this in Halo Wars and Halo Wars 2, but I want to see something similar in a first-person Halo game. Vehicle that can switch between different modes for different purposes.

I would like to see something that makes us able to melee with our knife. We can use it on assassinations but otherwise, it’s never used.

Well we can switch seats in-vehicle now, so maybe you could change mode by swapping seats. You drive to where you wanna go then swap to the turret and lock down.

Also I would love to have an “unarmed” mode for your Spartan. All weapons out of ammo? Throw them away and start beating face with your titanium-armored fists. Heck, maybe it could be if you press a button, you hurl your weapon at the enemy! Imagine killing someone by bouncing a pistol off their head.
Would be awesome for machinimas too.
