I have a strong feeling this “limited time event” will be heavily micro transactioned as well.

What makes you think that? A little unrealistic to start negativity before the event even starts. Now, if it is heavy in MT’s , I absolutely would agree with you.

Par for the course. People brought up concerns about the MTX over a year ago, and here we are paying $20 for white. Issues with battle progression have been brought up since the first flight, and they launched it anyways, and the fix we are getting is even less XP yield than we currently have. They are actively making this game more anti-consumer.

To unlock the helmet, drive around 10 minutes with the Scorpion tank and play 1000 matches of Oddball on Bazaar.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it, the items will come back somewhere between now and the next 10 years or never.
Feel free to spend 30 bucks in the store if you don’t feel like grinding
