Each precision weapon are very effective from mid to long range. But which one of these are the best in fire fights? In my opinion, i think the Dmr is the best but the Br is very useful too. It shoots faster than a br but the br has bleed through damage. Ive noticed that the Dmr is capable of destroying a ghost. Its the most accurate gun in the game second to snipers. When i unlocked the carbine i was very excited cus of the killing frenzys in H3. but i noticed that it takes a lot of time to kill a person. It shoots the fastest but it needs a bit to be stronger. The lightrifle was an interesting gun but i noticed that its weaker than a Br when un zoomed and stronger when zoomed during my test in forge.
Whats you opinion? what gun do you think is the best? give good reasons why you think its the best
My favorite weapon is the Carbine. Its such a beast and people don’t realize that. But i used the Light Rifle from time to time too. A quick scope followed by 3 hip fire shots makes it kill incredibly fast.
Assault Rifle because it can be the most versatile.
Though it really needs something to not lose out to the precision weapons in every mid range engagement. When burst firing I can get an opposing player using either the DMR or BR to no shields but lose everytime because the AR lacks the headshot capabilities.
I personally like all of them, but I alternate between them depending on my play style. The BR is my go-to gun, I use the DMR or Light Rifle on Big Team or on other maps with long sight lines, and I imagine I’d use the Carbine for the same range as the BR, but I don’t like it as much as the others. I find myself losing more battles than I win when I use the Carbine.
I look at them more like the DMR and the LF are more the same and the BR ANd Carbine are more the same. The LR needs a bit of a tweek to be closer to the DMR. The BR and Carbine are great for the close to mid range.
I use the LR thanks to the 4sk in BTB, but in Dominion, you can’t go wrong with the Carbine.
The Carbine EXCELS in close range… I know the automatic weapons are the best in close range, but since everyone has their try hard pants on when playing, you can usually destroy DMR and BR users with the fast ROF and zero bloom in close range.
I use a Loadout with Carbine/Suppressor and its beastly in Dominion for both assaulting and defending bases.
I’m going to say that the carbine is the best. Because although it takes more shots to kill normally, if you “noob combo” with the plasma pistol it is devastating because of the shooting speed and zero bloom. Knock out their shields with a charged plasma pistol then keep aiming for the head. Even if you miss since the carbine shoots so fast you get a lot of chances.
Now, from far range this strategy cant be used since the charged plasma shots are easy to dodge and they do not home at long distance. So in that scenario, do not engage the enemy alone.
I have thought that maybe using a turbo controller with a carbine can also give it a slight edge. Can someone please verify this for me? I dont own a turbo controller.
I like the DMR because it can hold a lot of ammo and has a long effective range. The Light Rifle is my 2nd go to weapon because it’s more effective against energy shields.

DMR and LR are so much different… With the DMR you can easily kill someone from mid to long range, even short range isn’t that bad (if you can aim). The LR is such a mess if you can’t shoot while zoomed in. I don’t know but that’s how I feel when shooting with it. Totally agree for the BR and Carbine
