Soo 343 has said that the BR is too effective at all ranges. I find this strange because outside of midrange your going to have a hard time. You won’t have any more aim assist or anything. Also the BR gets outranged by the DMR and Carbine which are long range rifles. Has anyone else found this statement to be strange ? If you play Warzone or BTB you will probably agree

Yea that’s true for arena but when they say it’s effective at all ranges makes it sound like it’s a god gun or something. Like nobody is getting 10 perfects a game or anything. I just hope they take into account more than just arena with the changes though. But guess they mostly have arena in mind
I find all 343 statements as strange . They clearly don’t understand what they are doing . All top players have complained again and again about the effectiveness of automatics so get this … they nurf all precision weapons ( laugh I nearly cried ) they gave a precision weapon a random spread lol that rewards skill … NOT . Then they leave autos alone . Seriously pick the autos up on any map so you have no precision weapon get close range and I garentee your win !!! Halo 5 is such a shame as a whole , I mean I like a lot of the thought behind things but the execution is always so poor . To put it mildly .

Yeah waiting it out for a Xbox one X, if I even get one of those with all the car parts I am buying for my baja project. But as soon as Rockstar games confirmed a LA Noire remaster coming in November I decided to wait for now and probably pick up a Xbox one X. Gotta bit of a wait but I can play some old school games on the 360 and other consoles for now.

The BR’s spread is too tight, often out-shooting DMRs at similar ranges. It’s also the gun you see, literally, the most, in Halo 5.
It’s too good of a weapon. Bungie was right to remove it after 3.

Not under warranty and how do you do a factory reset if you can’t use a controller at all?

It is a god gun, or as I like to call it, a Swiss Army Rifle. I can take a person on with it in close-, mid-, and long-range with complete confidence. You only really start having difficulties with it when you start trying to use it at the distances the DMR excels at (i.e. borderline first-zoom sniper range). That’s just with the base variant BR. Keep in mind that you also have the Long-Range and Sentinel variants of the BR that put it on arguably equal ground with the DMR and, to an extent, the Sniper Rifle in WZ. So you’ve got a gun that can kill in less shots (4 vs. 5 (DMR) vs. 7 (Carbine)) and can be used rather effectively at long ranges (even more so with WZ’s variants). With that in mind, it’s not surprising that they kinda want to rein it in a little.
Also worth noting. The BR’s official description: “Standard-issue burst-fire rifle that can excel at any engagement range.” Swiss Army Rifle indeed

Well that’s a good point… There was a different way of doing a reset that I found on Reddit a few months ago when my spare Xbox refused to play games. It had something to do with holding a button down while restarting, but that’s no good to you anyway.

Edit: This method seems quite similar to what I did with my spare Xbox. There’s no mention of needing a controller to navigate a menu, but that might just be omitted.

They actually made autos take even less skill by eliminating headshot multipliers. I really don’t understand. Now storm rifle just dominates, as well as the sword. The br being powerful as a pick up was a great equalizer, as well as having a quick-killing magnum. Now the new power weapons just don’t fit in the mold well enough, even if they did function fine.
I think the BR is fine as is (pre-weapon tuning).
And LethalQ, sorry to hear about your Xbox man. I hope you can figure out a way to fix or replace it sooner rather than later.
