BR starts is ruining my fun in team slayer

If you want to encourage scavenging, you’re effectively saying, “Start with something so useless that any gun is better.” so, basically nothing. That’s dumb. The Commando is the worst starting ballistic rifle in the entire game. I would literally rather have a Sidekick in every possible situation.

The Commando needs less bloom. Then maybe it can be good.

There is nothing social about beating your opponents to death until you have enough exp for a gun, but whatever.

Halo created the “utility” weapon(the guy who made CE MP established this) which is a weapon that’s skillful, and powerful and is good at all ranges and it’s a weapon we’re meant to spawn with. 343s problem was they made a weapon sandbox that wasn’t designed around the BR. Br has a long ttk but is good at every range and its easy af to use. If anything we need a weapon just like it but without being easy af to use.

I agree. For years I demanded a weapon that is difficult to use for being an utility (like the CE Magnum, however not exactly like it). Such as being projectile based and having to lead your shot, the ttk being quick if you do a perfect but punishing if you do a normal time to kill, as well as not being so simple. It has to feel rewarding. TTK disparity is so damn important. Many forget that this one change is why Halo games became less fun multiplayer wise.

The Commando was so close with this. The problem is that the projectile is too fast, the recoil is insane, bloom is awful and the reset takes too long. I also hate that you can’t pace shots because a patient tap results in going full automatic. Defeating the entire purpose of the weapon.

Halo has been combat devolving ever since they switched to the BR as being an utility. The DMR also sucks because it was so good, Bungie had to add artificial bloom and punish those who actually knew how to aim. Even the Guardians Magnum isn’t enough because it has insane aim assist and accuracy, zero recoil and bloom. Just terrible for competitive play.

If 343 can tweak the Commando to functional exactly like the CE Magnum but make the ttk be a maximum of 5 shots if you hit the torso three times then a headshot, oh man would ranked play be sick. As well as eliminating the forced full auto function just by patiently shooting slowly. Infinite has potential to fix it but these foolish H2 and H3 babies love their BR so much.

Social team slayer has been absolutely ruined by sbmm

I would debate h5 magnum wasn’t op. It wasn’t super easy to use and since h5 had thruster you could make someone miss pretty easily. We definetly need a utility though where a perfect ttk is 1 second but it’s difficulty brings it’s average to 1.5-1.7. Funnily enough the stalker rifle sort of fills this as it’s hard to get a perfect 3 shot with it. I find people who use that don’t get perfect 3s on average.
You ain’t wrong about the BR lovers. I would love it if the upcoming bandit rifle would have low AA

Pistols are too much of a power weapon if playing against PC players. AR as baseline is true to the franchise. I know I’m in the minority.

Mnk users can’t even get a perfect kill its way too hard. Controller is FACTUALLY superior in halo infinite. Every statistic backs this up!
