if 343 is smart they should provide a BR start dedicated playlist… Not everyone enjoys using ARs I personally refuse to use it id rather melee than use it. What’s wrong with a playlist that has BR starts dedicated? The player base would appreciate it and it. And also please put it on arena where it makes sense

That’s not traditional in the slightest. AR starts have always been casual. And BR always the hardcore side. 343 does not get that

If it was any other halo game I would be all for it. BR starts create stand stills in matches, and with the movement it would defeat the purpose. I disagree about there being BR starts anywhere in H5.

Yeah, because AR’s take so little skill to use, and the BR requires serious skill. Give me a break.

I agree that there should be a dedicated BR start playlist. The option should at least be available to those who want to play it.
Use your Magnum, or play Warzone and spawn with one every life.

So many things have changed in Halo 5 compared to any of the others that you can’t seriously expect to make any decent argument by simply stating “its how things have always been”. The AR is actually useful for the first time in over a decade. Same goes for the pistol, they’re both solid starting weapons. The BR is no longer the end all be. Make an argument backed up by the updated mechanics if you’re serious.
As others have said, it comes down to balance and movement. They want to encourage players to move around the map and not feel restricted to certain segments because they’re being cross mapped by a precision weapon. The pistol is the closest it has ever been to Halo: CE, starting weapons have been buffed from previous titles to give you a chance against someone with a BR/DMR. I feel like they are going for a classic feel to Halo 5 with the AR/Magnum starts (Halo: CE), just that the Magnum isn’t the be all, end all weapon it was in Halo: CE. I am perfectly fine with the AR/Magnum starts, BR/DMR/Light Rifles spawn pretty fast anyway if you want to use those, but the Magnum is very effective as well. Just watch the gameplay on Youtube from the recent Halo 5 event.

BR starts weren’t in the game because they required more skill but because the AR/pistol and other similar options were previously…well…garbage. Now that both the AR and pistol (the latter IS a precision weapon, remember?) are actually good weapons I don’t see why BR starts should be a must. With that said, should 343 release a BR playlist at some time? Absolutely. But such a option is no longer te be all end all requisite for a fun match that it used to be since H2. I, for one, hail our new magnum based overlords.
What if I told you that some people want to play in a BR start playlist and adding said playlist will not affect you whatsoever?

AR starts were never logical in the first place. The pistol is a semi utility weapon. Why spawn with a weapon so limited.

im guessing the halo championship series will be BR starts so we will get a playlist that mimics it like no radars and stuff but I doubt we will see it at launch
Why do you want a BR so bad? Please I hope you pick up your BR constant on the map and keep using it, as eventually you and your trusty little BR will be owned once the rest of us master the Pistol. As far as I know the PIstol kills faster than the BR is just a bit harder to use and not quite so good at further range. So please don’t go crying when your BR is no longer the weapon of choice by more skilled players who actually bothered to learn everything about the new Halo.

That’s what I’m saying! I don’t understand why everyone else is so hell-bent on the game not having this playlist. It does not affect them if one was added. Yet, they act as though you slapped their mamma, just for asking for one. LOL

Because I know it works as a spawn weapon. The AR has been tried to be viable in halo 3 and reach both times failed both times had rabid defenders. Te BR has prevailed every time. AR defenders will never admit the truth
