The maps are really not that large and the maps were built around the Ar/Magnum starts to begin with.

You could always pick up the BRs I mean there is on some maps multiple BR spawns.
Why can’t we have both? They need to bring back the “slayer” and “slayer pro” game types.

The maps aren’t too large (Antifreeze, Deadlock, Boulevard, Guillotine, and Fracture just to name a few); However, Dispelled, Altar, Viking, and Entombed should indeed have BR starts! The rest can have AR/Mags!

I can agree with the fact that with some of the maps it is plausible to have AR/Mags at start, but I’d rather just have it be universal for all maps in the playlist. That way there aren’t confused people wondering why they’re getting different weapons on different maps because you know that would happen, lol.
And God of Games, that’s a valid point for sure.

Well they shouldn’t be confused because we have had loadouts in Reach/4 so nothing new really 
I like the Br but i also like the classic load out, ar and magnum

Dispelled is designed to play with AR/Mags and was tested with AR/Mags. There are sufficient amounts of BRs placed on the map, to be more specific 5 BRs, for people who prefer that playstyle.

I’ve seen quite a few comments from the makers of the BTB maps themselves that the maps are designed with AR/Magnum starts in mind. I don’t see why you’d really need to cross-map people with your starting weapon anyway.

thats the thing its to easy to cross map you should have to find a br like all the other game types and with the br starts it make using any warthog hard to use because its so easy to shoot someone off

I had my speculations since it’s default for BTB, however I wasn’t completely sure of what 343 had up their sleeves for the BTB Refresh. They kept us in the dark with the details just like everyone else. It could have gone either way.
I think the we should get a playlist to test it out first before making any permanent changes.

Wasn’t the rules for the BTB meet your maker map tourney supposed to be built around and tested with pistol starts? Do you know what Forgehub’s opinion on this is?

I dunno maybe the mod dosen’t like me. I thought it was a good way for an 343 employee to see that thread and hopefully pass the idea along to the MP team.
