This is halo why is it ar and pistol start halo is made with the br. No one wants to use a pistol cross map with -Yoink- aim assist lol.

I forgot Halo CE wasnt halo cause it didnt have the BR. Its social, BR starts inherenty increase the skill level needed which actively goes against the point of social. BR starts for ranked? All for that

I wholeheartedly agree with providing a Team BRs playlist or game rotation. After playing about 20 games, there is zero reason to use anything but the AR in almost every scenario.
Please add in Team BRs.

Nah, fam. The BR normally dominates the weapon sandbox and gives people little reason to switch to anything else. AR/Pistol starts are great in making people try different weapon combos. I do agree having a separate BR start playlist would work well though.
I’ve been having 0 issues with AR/Sidekick starting weapons. I honestly don’t care much for the BR because it just doesn’t seem effective to me (though that could be because of the issue with hit detect being a bit wonky right now).

Well right now the AR dominates everything and all you have to do is hold down the trigger. I’d rather a BR playlist all day everyday and lose to people who have actual skill in the game than people who spray and pray.
As it stands, the sandbox is AR until you have to reload, swap to sidekick, rinse and repeat.
AR starts are fine. I prefer having to find a BR to starting with one. Especially with how good the infinite AR is. I’m sure it’ll be BR starts for competitive, but for regular modes AR is fine and has always been the default since halo 3.
It seems a lot like Halo 5, nobody seems to be using the BR anymore, since the sidekick pistol kills so quickly. If I have BR, I usually lose against sidekick/pistol or AR, which matches my experience in Halo 5.

CE magnum functions more like the BR of future games than the pistols of future games. Full zoom, good time to kill, range.
They need to put BR starts in. At least make a ranked BTB and put BR start there. It’s a lose lose situation, a lot of us hate AR start and the guys that love it will suffer when try hards get their hands on a BR which will leave the poor casual player spraying and praying, dying over and over. I’ve done it in MCC and AR kids are powerless.
The last time this was up for discussion players said it will open gameplay up and allow vehicle use… That’s not how it plays out, it results in people sitting in corners camping and intense spawn killing sessions because the AR can’t do much when a good vehicle player is in their spawn.
343 if you read this, recognise BTB as a competitive playlist, there are a lot of us looking forward to searching and finding other competitive teams in MM… The groups you see searching with a full lobby aren’t searching to boost off casual players, we aim to play against each other. Just make it ranked and we’ll all be happy.
The BR is too good in this game to be a starting weapons, and the last thing I want is for 343 to nerf it to make it fit the role of a starting weapon like the had to in Halo 5.
the AR and sidekick are perfectly fine. If this BR were a starting weapon in BTB you’d cross map people easily. That’s no fun. I could see 343 maybe buffing the range of the sidekick a bit to make it a bit more versatile, but the BR should absolutely be a pickup weapon. Just find either it or a commando and swap for them. If you started with a BR you’d never drop it. That’s the definition of a bad starting weapon.
BR for ranked definitely, casual I’m thinking leave it as is, will have to see how big team plays. The BR shreds the pistol, it should beat the pistol but it absolutely dominates it mid range and beyond.
They’ll probably do BR starts in a ranked playlist in full release. I personally really like that the BR is a pickup and you don’t spawn with it - people are finally realising that there is more than one gun in Halo lmao
Nah, BR starts are lame. No one uses any other weapon when there are BR starts. The AR needs its range nerfed a bit imo, but it is nice that it’s not just garbage anymore.
Absolutely not. It totally ruins the sandbox. I dont play Halo to spawn in and poke shots at each other like some COD wannabe. Halo shines in closer quarters and in having to control weapons, including the BR.
With that said, I do think that the AR is a little too brainless atm. So might need to tone it down a bit and/or give a buff to the sidearm.
