I’m really hoping the sounds in this video are just placeholders. The BR sounds worse than a kid playing with bubble wrap. It certainly doesn’t sounds like it was recorded on site with real soldiers.
Agreed. The gun sounds pretty bad.

Its because Frank was talking through the rest of the video, they lowered the volume so we could hear him.
My thoughts are:
#1 The sound might of been turned down so the shots fired don’t drown out Frankie’s voice.
#2 If it isn’t turned down, then they need to redo the sound for it, I’ve fired rifles, and that thing sounds like what a .22 sounds like with ear plugs in.

I also think it doesn’t sound that threatening, but what really caught my attention was how the game played and the fact that I’ve never seen most of these clips. That map looks awesome and I looooove the lighting
Go to 2:01. That’s the real BR sound. At the rest of the video they turned down the sound to listen to Frankie’s voice.
In my opinion, I don’t like a little the BR sound, but I don’t care, I’m gonna buy the game like everyone else.

It still sounds like a cheap gun there. The sound is just awkward. They should have tried to at least make it sound somewhat like the classic BR.

Doesn’t any one else notice that that 2:00-2:04 Sound like its recorded in a both so OF course it not the optimum sound Pluss frank stated several times on Gaf Its and old build so stop complaining
Stop going off the deep end they muffled it so you could here Frank it will more then likely sound meatier then what it sounded like in the vid.

well the spartans are wearing helmets in the previous games and the sounds of the guns arent muffled.
Do people honestly think this is the actual sound?
No. It’s a placeholder for beta builds. As you can tell, there’s absolutely no reverb/echo to the sound effect. It doesn’t even sound like it was recorded outside. This sounds like a stock gun sound they used for the early builds.
No worries. The final sound will be powerful. (;
It doesn’t sound as powerful as I’d like, even at the 2 minute mark. I hope they can tweak it a bit to make it sound a little closer to the H2 and H3 BR.
