Anything that is announced in this stage of development isn’t “final”. There is still play testing going on.
I agree it needs to kill on the first bullet.
Or be like the CE pistol and kill in three.
Or a 4 shot kill.

I can’t decide. I find it ridicilous that no one posts on what the optimal kill shot would be for BR.
Did some of you forget that quad shotting was only in Halo 2? Thats the only reason (besides patch) that the Halo 2 BR was praised.

Lol I don’t think anyone wants a 5-shot BR. You can’t jump to conclusions on something that is 100% known, of course I hope you know that.
Nothing has been confirmed yet, but with the speed of the game being much faster than previous titles, why make the weapons weaker?
…but I guess it fits canon. Spartan suits have been getting stronger with each game, weapons haven’t.

I don’t care if it isn’t mine, I just don’t understand how 343i could change something that did not need changing.
and to the guy that said it would make sense with canon because the armor got better, why wouldn’t the weapons be more powerful too?
DMR will probably win no matter what to be honest.

If we are refering to that 10 second clip from Conan, then yes, the player dropped shots. Therefore getting an accurate measure of it’s kill times difficult.
I don’t know if you guys were playing Reach instead, but the Spartan IV dropped pretty fast even with dropped shots with the current (albeit incomplete) build of the Battle Rifle.
I don’t think it will be 5 shots.
Even if it is MLG will tweak it back to four and we can play Halo again.
I liked the feel and rhythm of a four shot. I don’t view the 5 shot as good news, because if it works, it won’t be too big of a deal, but the DMR sounds overpowered already. Please limit the scoping capabilities.
Seeing the BR and DMR were the only unbalanced weapons in Halo I think making them 5 shot is good.

They weren’t unbalanced, it’s just that every other weapon was trash (excluding power weapons).

Maybe it needed changing to fit in with the rest of the weapons? Everything doesn’t revolve around the BR.
