Hi there,
has anyone else noticed that in a custom game, the BR is a 5 shot kill instead of 4?? I thought maybe it was lag when I was playing with friends so I decided to do a little split screen test and started just a standard slayer game. Sure enough the BR is definitely 5 shots instead of 4.
Anyone else notice?
The weapons update only affected Matchmaking. The game launched with a 5sk BR, so that’s how it is in customs.
Up the damage % to match online play.
Oh I see! Thanks for the info. Do you know exactly how much damage modification I have to do to match the 4 shot in matchmaking?
You can get the gametypes with the Weapon Tuning update just by going into the Temporary History in your file browser and downloading any recently played gametypes (Infinity Slayer, Infinity Rumble, Legendary BRs, Team Slayer, etc.). Any matchmaking gametype with the Weapon Tuning update applied should work; I believe the only ones unaffected are a few in Action Sack… and maybe Flood.
At least… I think that’s how it works…
Also, I guess I didn’t think of what you mentioned above because the BR speed prior to the weapons update was to me noticeably faster. But the BR speed in custom games seems to have adapted the slower speed (minus the damage boost). But I might just be crazy.
I do not, but I know the BR should kill in 3.6 shots with a headshot. Thats 11 bullets, with the 12th being a “forgiveness” bullet if you miss.
Go into forge and mess with Trait Zones until you find the damage output that matches the 11 bullet headshot.
Cool, I appreciate all the responses guys. I’ll definitely try out what you guys suggested
go to pgl settings file share where you cab download the V4 settings. these are up to date.
If you want the weapon updated gametypes, you will need to go to MM, and play the gametype that you want.
After its over(either by playing through or quitting), go to Custom games.
From there, go to your recent gametypes. The gametype you just played should show up at the top of the list.
Download it.
You should have the updated gametype.
The reason it is like this is because 343 released an update for the game a few months back that made it so they can update the game without the need to develop a Title Update by giving them the ability to change how the weapons work in their dev settings. The drawback is that you would need to download the new gametypes after playing them in MM.

Or play one match of whatever gametype, and get the updated kill times?
If you go into MM and play a match you can find that gametype settings in your recent gametypes history. There you can download it and use it in custom games

Fixed
Please note that increasing the damage output is not the same as downloading the matchmaking gametypes, especially because it will also have these other side effects:
- Untuned weapons such as the Magnum will be more powerful than in MM
- Red reticle range (maximum range that magnetism/auto aim will kick in) will be farther than in MM
- Auto aim range of automatic weapons will be higher than in MM
- Rate of fire of weapons such as the Light Rifle (scoped) and Battle Rifle will be different than in MM
Here is a list of everything changed in the weapons tuning updates. In order to get all of these changes in a custom gametype, you have to download a gametype from matchmaking and use that as your base.
