Would you guys prefer swat to start you with the DMR and BR, or be able to choose either one with a pistol?

No, the DMR is crap. Its not fun. SWAT in reach is camping pure because of the dmr.
In halo3? everyone moves,callouts etc. And its much more entertaining.

I LOVE SWAT and Im not entirely sure what I feel about this. I obviously LOVE the BR and miss it but the DMR was a pretty decent weapon as well. Im a fan of both weapons and I would love both a DMR SWAT playlist as well as a BR SWAT playlist. Having them both in one game could make SWAT completely different and that could be really interesting. In all honesty, they all sound like a lot of fun =]

I played both. I was OK at 3 swat, but Im almost unstoppable at reach swat. Anyways I think The DMR may have an advantage over the BR if its applied the same way in swat tho.
BR makes headshots much easier. Single shot > burst when it comes to headshots because sweeping is much less effective with single shot weapons.

Ya thats how I feel which is why I asked the community. Glad to see im not the only one with those feelings. I would probably prefer two playlists.

Im not trying to sound nasty or “snoody” for lack of better terms, but I am a master of sweeping with the DMR in swat. But thats how I have taught myself including the Sniper and the pistol.

I’m not saying that sweeping with the DMR is hard in Reach - it’s not. But that is because of bullet magnetism, aim assist, and unresponsive strafing. It has nothing to do with the weapon itself. If the BR were in Reach, it would be even easier to sweep for headshots than the DMR.
Sweeping is inherently easier with a burst fire weapon, just think about it for a second.
For swat? It has to be DMR / Pistol for me. Pistol swat being my favourite of the two

Especially with something so delicate as one shot to the head = dead.

Would be still bad. Would create more camping. Im a high level swat player. And Reach swat is so boring and campy, its not fun. Burst >> Single shot
I think both will be in much like “Swat Magnums” perhaps we’ll receive “DMR Swat” “BR Swat”

I like to see people camp on the NEW MAPS that 343 are making, what made reach a camping game in swat was because of asymmetrical maps, the only good maps are ZEALOT AND ASYLUM.
