I believe I speak for most classic Halo fans, and many other Halo fans, when I say,
“We want the old BR!”.
I usually agree with everything you guys say, and I personally don’t even like the BR.
But to do this injustice of making it a 5-shot kill, is too much.
We come not for quarrel, but favor, give us our BR back.
I want the H3 Br back, it was more balanced that Post TU H2 Br which was way to over powered.

I swear the BR in Halo 3 doesn’t kill in three shots or one like the CE pistol. In fact, it was crap thanks to the spread. Same goes with Halo 2 pre patch, that gun also sucked until Bungie patched it.
Or is it that the some of you are asking for Halo 2 button combo kill times with BR? If so, don’t get your hopes up.

Sure, maybe it has a faster rate of fire than the H3 Battle Rifle. But that is against the point I’m trying to make. Saying that all the whole community wants it back with no statistics is very ignorant.
You arent the community, friend. Dont speak for me or anyone else. I will wait to see how it works but im completely fine with whatever 343 thinks is best.

if anything, for the sake of weapon balance it should be.
if the DMR has a higher rof and the same amount of shots to kill, it renders the br useless.
The game is in a pretty early build. So, a lot of the stuff we know now will be different in the future, and 343i is still working on weapon balance and tweaking. I mean, a week ago, forerunner vision’s name was forerunner vision. Now it’s something like Promethean vision. Anything’s subject to change at this point in the game’s development. It’s still early.
Basically, what I’m saying is… don’t assume that you’ll see these kinds of things in the final product since a lot of things can change from today to Nov. 6th.

Now i know im on your side but I have to dissagree with you there. If the BR is 4 shot and the DMR is 5 shot, I dont see how that would be unfair but whatever 343 is thinking im sure its for the best.

This sentence makes it seem you are talking about the community as a whole. Though you may disagree with the 5-shot BR, others may not. Sorry for sounding mean, I’ve had a long day

that is my point. it should be a 4sk, that is what makes it a useable weapon against the DMR from short-mid range.
not only that, but they want to speed the game up. the game will not be faster this way. it’s not just about movement speed…

People Are missing the point Here
I am a “classic” halo fan but the 5 shot BR does not bother me most of the guns in halo 4 it seems have been altered to promote balance 343 is focusing hard on not having the “one gun to rule them all” problem that has been in almost every halo.

Yes, this is true.
But they need a reason to change it back.
I just wanted to help give people what they want, kindness is in my nature.
To me that was one of the most iconic things about the br and it just wont feel right otherwise.
I don’t see why they can’t just reduce the rate of fire and make it a 4 shot kill again.

You know, 343 is most likely not going to change it regardless of how many thanks are gathered. That’s borderline petitioning right there and you know we can’t do that here.
