Learn to use the pistol, BR starts are dull as hell. AR starts encourages you to go out and find weapons, which is what Halo’s all about.

MLG? how adorable. MLG hasn’t had a damn thing to do with halo since Reach (what a terrible game). Apparently kids are still ignorant to the fact that the AGL and ESL are relevant.

The Battle Rifle isn’t a power weapon or atleast it shouldn’t be one. BR’s have always been a classic starting weapon.

BRs are not power weapons… Power weapons are snipers, shotguns, rockets… Big guns. Did you not play halo 2 or 3?

I don’t pick up storm rifles needlers or any non BR or sniper rocket or shotgun.
What the hell is even the point of finding weapons, if you’re gonna have nasty BR starts!? Really it’s stupid! The BR is way too easy to use (well at least for me), I hate using it. Most games are -Yoinking- distance battles and occasionally moving to another spot with BR starts , -Yoink- THAT!

It’s a slightly different skillset. Magnum is land everyshot + headshot while juking opponent’s attempt at landing all shots or final headshot. BR is land bodyshots + sweep aim up for headshot while juking opponent’s attempt at final shot. With the bullet magnetism, they are pretty even I’d say but Magnum requires precision on final shot while BR requires more of a sweeping motion for final shot. Then again, Magnum needs 5 onpoint shots while BR is only 4.
Professionals helped design the Team Arena playlist and settings. I think 343 is already catering to the competitive community. Also, most of the professionals will probably tell you they enjoy how the game settings feel for competitiveness minus a few things like too many weapons on the map.
Not to mention the Magnum has been revamped to provide the balance that was never there in past Halos without the BR starts which Bungie seemed to always fail at implementing. It’s not all the way there but I think the Magnum fights are more fun and competitive.
Anyway, didn’t MLG drop Halo or is it returning? I thought it’s different now, like Halo Championship Series or eSports, etc.

The BR is more of a power weapon in this game, the way that you have to control it and how much easier it is to kill people with. Maybe have a playlist with BR starts but leave arena and slayer with AR/Pistol starts pkease.

I hate the way that the magnum handles. you have to aim unrealistically high to get the headshot to count. As for MLG, 343 sold competitive gaming rights to -Yoink!- gaming (AGL) when halo 4 was released. when that bombed, they switched to eSports League (ESL). it just goes to show you that 343 can’t do anything right.

With a good trigger finger, the carbine is pretty strong not to mention because theres descope in Halo 5, if your accurate with your shots, the enemy basically won’t be able to scope in.if your fighting from far.
