In previous Halos, BR was 4 shot kills. I absolutely loved it because when you got ever shot right on the target, and you got that 4 shot, it felt good no matter how many times you did it. Now, they made it a 5 shot kill. Honestly, I am really disappointed. They said the DMR is going to be better at range and BR will be better at close range. By making the BR 5 shot kill, it seems they are trying to balance the two’s kill times. If the BR is better at close range, then why make the kill times close to the DMR? Just give the BR 4 shot but give it some recoil so its more controllable at short range. Lets compare 2 games. IN Halo 3, you could kill 3 people with one clip (if every shot hits) which gave plenty of room to miss a couple shots if you it was a 1v2 situation. Now, in Halo 4, you can only kill 2 people. Wasting 15 bullets on a single target (or more) seems like a bit excessive to me. If you are facing 2 players, you can only miss 2 shots or else you are screwed. I dunno. I just feel that they should change it back to 4 shot kills. Agree? Disagree? Thoughts?
I thought the 4 shot was the perfect thing for team play. Absolutely perfect. You had 4 players, so at the peak of a team shot, a person would immediately drop.
It would take just as much time to double melee as it would to two shot and melee and this was also perfect. You had just enough in the clip to kill 3 people perfectly, but now it just seems attenuated and out of sync.
I think that the BR should be 4 shot. I don’t see any reason why they should change it. Sure enough I can see why they want to equalize it with the other weapons, but I think you should just keep the firerate of the DMR at a speed that equals the output of the BR, or, like the Carbine in Halo 3, is a faster kill than the BR, but has much less ammo and other detrimental aspects like damage p/hit, etc.
The 4 shot was perfect, and although I am very, very happy to see the BR again (SweetbabyjesusIhatedtheDMR), I will be somewhat sad to blast out that extra shot to get the kill.
We should definitely petition for the 4 shot to come back.
