Why do I have this feeling that only the BR users are the ones complaining / discussing an “unbalance” between the DMR and BR?
I don’t see Carbine or Light Rifle users having any problems with it. So?
I get my fare share of deaths from all of the Precision Rifles.

I love your name OP. On topic, the majority of the BR “lovers” as you would call them, would actually prefer the BR to be the main go to weapon in multiplayer. Because it is a toss up at times, every other weapon now is over powered. That is bull. The weapon you use should be dictated by the situation you are in. You wouldn’t bring a knife to a gunfight would you. The BR is going to lose against a DMR at long range, but these players like the BR and want it to do the same. Sometimes I want to use my shotgun as a sniper, but the other guy with the sniper kills me before my shotgun kills him. Is the sniper now over powered?
I use only the DMR because it is statistically and factually the better weapon in 99% of situations. But its just not fun to use. It will be nerfed, bet.
I am a DMR user and I think it could use a slight nerf for the sake of the sandbox.
Schmeh, as a Storm Rifle, and general Automatic weapon user I find them both useless, and I don’t like either of them.

I’m gonna quote this guy because he said what took me three paragraphs to say. It wins a greater majority of the time, which it shouldn’t in all ranges. It should be addressed. I don’t think any Halo player would like to see one weapon dominate all the maps because its effectiveness wins over every other starting weapon. Why put the other ones in if that is the case??
I think the reason why the only thing we hear about is the BR/DMR is because The carbine is rapid fire, no recoil and no spread. To compensate it has lower damage. The Light rifle is a little cumbersome but can fire pretty fast when zoomed in and can kill in 4 shots. Both of these have their ups and downs but are balanced(in my opinion) The DMR and BR however is a different story.

On to the topic, I use the DMR more than any other weapon. I hate being forced to use it in every single situation because it’s so overpowered. Halo has always been about using multiple weapons to achieve your objective. Using one weapon over and over again to camp the map at long range is boring and not like Halo at all.

Because people want to use the BR but there is no point if there is a different starting weapon that is better in every way possible.
Not really a BR user but more of a all around weapon user. I have been going beast mode with the BR and find no problem fighting against the DMR and alot of people I’ve seen say the same thing as me.
I’m a carbine user and I kick butt. I personally think the nuke combo should be nerfed, they said the plasma pistol would not track as well as past games but I have been destroying people with it.
Br is what made halo multiplayer fun, the dmr should be removed from the game, as for the other weapons i honestly don’t care the dmr killed halo the br made halo a success, what was the game which made halo popular in the first place? halo 2? thats right and whats the primary precision weapon in halo 2? the battle rifle!!!
now reach is the game that killed the halo franchise because they removed the br and brought in the dmr, the dmr was a gamebreaker and ruined the entire game, so 343 thought it would be a good idea to bring it back for some reason and now chaos has erupted.
i have used both weapons and i have to say the dmr is superior to the br, it’s so easy to kill with the dmr it’s unreal yet with the br it’s a constant struggle to kill someone with any weapon unlike the dmr you can’t stand too far back because of the spread leaving you susceptible to the assault rifle/suppressor but you can’t stand too close either so it requires alot more skill to use due to it’s lack of versatility you have to strafe with the br or you die, you don’t have to strafe with the dmr to get a kill, you just stand far back and shoot, the light rifle is a pure kill stealing weapon but sucks close up it’s like a weak sniper but it can wreck people with no shields from afar and the carbine is perfect no complaints there.
i say the dmr is the noob precision weapon of the game because it can kill vehacles in seconds and it can kill from almost any range.
oh and as for the light rifle i’d rather they got rid of the burst fire and just made it single shot but more damage than the dmr and more recoil than the br.

The gun definitely needs a nerf, its far to easy to cross map with. and pretty much has zero drawbacks.

I dominate DMR users, LR users, Carbine users all with my arctic BR. At first I was reluctant to use the BR because of all the “Br is underpowered” and “BR needs to be 4sk” threads. But now I usually don’t use anything else on mid sized maps, it’s not underpowered at all. THE BR IS BACK!!!
