BP Progression Idea

I’m not going to go back over all the problems the BP has atm because we all know the obvious flaws it currently has. I just wanted to give a suggestion on how to streamline the BP progression with just simply playing the game: (Were going to leave the tiers stay current at 1000XP per)

  1. Do away with the daily challenges. Instead have a match performance based XP reward system. For Example:
  • Per Kill: 10XP
  • Per Assist: 5XP
    Objective Based 25XP Apiece (For Example)
  • Personal Flag Cap
  • Territory Capture
  • Oddball Possessed For Every 30 Seconds
  • King Of The Hill Capture
  1. Weekly Challenges: Should only be 4 total per week that stays on the screen with no new ones that spawn after completion. My idea is to make 3 general game challenges and 1 Objective Based. The Objective Based Weekly challenge is the only one that can be swapped however when a swap token is used you can pick out of the pool you want to focus on (like I love territories so I would swap my challenge to a challenge that caters to that). They should award 1000XP or a tier apiece but should be a serious grind to complete them. Doing all 4 nets you an award like what’s already being implemented.

For Example:

Out of the 3 general weekly challenge pool we could have:

  • Get x amount of melee kills in PvP
  • Get x amount of headshot kills in PvP
  • Get x amount of assists in PvP
  • Get x amount of grenade kills in PvP
  • Get x amount of multikills in PvP
  • Use equipment x amount of times in PvP
  • Get x amount of sprees in PvP

For the 1 Weekly Objective Challenge:

  • Personally capture x amount of flags
  • Have possession of the oddball for x minutes
  • Capture x amount of zones
  • Get x amount of kills while defending a zone
  • Be king of the hill x amount of times
  • Win x amount of CTF games
  • Win x amount of Slayer Games
  • Win x amount of Oddball Games
  • Win x amount of Infection Games
  • Win x amount of King of the Hill Games

Is something like this were implemented the grind would feel rewarding because everything I do I’m progressing towards something… Instead of feeling like I have to go out of my way and the normal gameplay loop to complete challenges. It should progress naturally. This would also tie into a player progression system once that is released so that once a BP is complete, we can continue to grind even more at a more fluid pace that doesn’t feel like I’m being forced to play a certain way or a certain gametype.

Overall the game is so fun and halo feeling that I would be an absolute shame to see it suffer any potential growth because the progression is awful.
