Everyone needs to get off of warzone until this month of BS is done.
the people that buy these req packs should be ashamed of themselves
Halo has become a pay to win game and this needs to end now.
if no one buys the pack or plays warzone for a while, then 343 will realize that they made a huge mistake with this PoS idea that Microsoft enforced.
The more we fight against this and boycott warzone, the more money Microsoft is losing, and we all know how much Microsoft wants their flagship franchise to earn MONEY

Good luck with that mate. I play to have fun. I have the most fun in action sack, warzone, and grifball. I’ll play those playlists and continue to do so.

I have fun With warzone too, but for the sake of Halo I am doing this for them and I suggest you do this to. I want a community that does not give into greed or any of that. I just want them to stop this nonsense and focus on the game itself and not added filler that appeals to noobs.

So in order to stop the nonsense and focus on the game itself. You are calling for a boycott of the game over a req pack that will have virtually no effect on the way the game is played or offer in any real advantage to the people who buy it? How is it different from the req system as a whole (a bad idea implemented well)? How does it appeal to noobs? Why does a company wanting to earn money surprise you? I don’t think you’ve thought this out.

I don’t necessarily say boycott the game. Arena is always there and pretty fun. I don’t care too much about the req pack itself, just the fact that they felt the need to incorporate more microtransactions into a game that is already full of them. I have not played warzone recently so I haven’t seen if the pack is game breaking, but the fact that a person can buy a pack that goes against their RNG that they implemented and it automatically be one of the best weapons in the game just seems unfair and wrong. I can understand that a company wants to earn money, everybody loves money, but the way they are doing it is just wrong. And don’t bring up the “free” DLC and how they are doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. All of that stuff should have been in the game already from the launch. The req system needs to make its exit out of halo which I personally think will be beneficial to the community and the game as a whole. You are inclined to disagree with my views as this is just my PERSONAL OPINION.

I’m just going to chime in and say it’s definitely an advantage to have a bunch of Prophet’s Banes

No it isn’t, I had 9 before I redeemed points for the pack and a kid who happened to start playing yesterday could’ve gotten one from a gold pack. Just yesterday I had someone (who I assume bought the pack) use one. I killed him took the bane (with 90% charge) and that was that. I’m on record as saying the req system was a bad idea, but it was implemented in such a way that the Pay-to-win/pay-for-advantage elements are minimized. The more skilled player will still always win. The new req pack doesn’t make it any better or worse than it was 11 months ago when the rest of us we’re complaining.

You’re right about that stuff. Discussions about Month of Mythic and pay-for-advantage stuff aside, I was only making a minor nitpick that with all other things being equal, Prophets’ Bane vs. no Prophets’ Bane is an advantage, however small. It just seems a bit silly to say having a bunch of Prophets’ Banes doesn’t offer any real advantage. I mean, wouldn’t you agree it’s at least a little advantage compared to not having them?
Anyway, I’m just being pedantic, I’m not one of those people saying “Month of Mythic is ruining Halo” or anything like that

My position on the req system has been the same since day one. It’s a bad idea that has been implemented in such a way that any damage caused by it is minimized. I just find it hilarious that this req pack (which doesn’t offer any more benefit than buying a few req packs) has set the forum off like this. It isn’t special. Yeah, the bane is a good weapon, but it isn’t going to win someone a game that they would have lost unless the two teams were on perfectly equal footing in terms of skill, teamwork, experience, and the like.
If people want to argue against the req system as a whole I’d support that (though I feel it is a losing battle.) On the other hand having people come out of the woodwork because they decided to sell a mythic req is just down right silly. Where were these people 11 months ago? What is special about this? Why do people suddenly care now that there is a pay to win aspect to the game when it has been there since launch? The rage is so arbitrary.
