Summary
What I need everyone to understand is truly how bad the situation is when it comes to the shops prices. 343 Industries and Microsoft are operating within their own market MONOPOLY. I will say this again, The Halo Infinite shop is a MONOPOLY. There are no competitors, there are no other creators of cosmetics for Halo Infinite’s multiplayer. They have complete control of the market and its pricing. The monopoly they have allows them to set the prices anywhere they want. If we want to change how the system is we CAN NOT STOP demanding lower prices. It is a real economic function for a company to make more money by lowering the prices. We need to convince Microsoft that by catering the customers in the inelastic range of the market that they will make more money. If 343 wants to remind us that they are business, that is fine by me. I say we talk to them back in business terms. we have to make the Economic losses for them so large as to offset the profit they make from the people who willing throw tons of money at simple colors and overpriced armors. And I want to add this at the end. I do not hate this game. I love it so much. I am incredibly excited for the campaign to come out on Wednesday. I want to spend money on this game, but not in this current system. I love seeing 343 get praise for the gameplay and the apparently really good campaign (which I PRE-ORDERED). I just want to be treated more fairly as a customer and as a loyal Halo customer. 343 we understand that you are business and you have chosen live service as your business model. Just lower the prices. Just please price the system better.
