New emblem was added to my emblem collection today, named “Box O’ Guns”.

A few of my friends who logged in today also got it?

Anyone have any idea where this came from?
I’m assuming this is being handed out for playing over a certain period?

Just read that it’s for logging onto halo infinite between Feb 8th-14th.

I’m guessing because today was supposed to be the start of the Tactical Ops event (until it was moved to March due to the Season 2 delay), this emblem was intended to be given out at the start of that event, and they forgot to move the distribution of this emblem with the event.

It would be great if the items told you what you did to unlock them, like “tenari event” or “weekly capstone” or “store purchase” or “season 1 battle pass”…
So many things with Infinite are so close yet so far.

Whilst I disagree with your final statement, you are hitting on one of the minor frustrations I have in the Armor Hall.

It’s incredibly useful to have the unlock date for each individual piece, but that should be interchangeable via button press to instead display a very brief reference to the achievement, ultimate challenge, or event it was unlocked in.

Possibly, but even so - you don’t just get free rewards for an event without playing.

Tac Ops was set for March 8th (according to API codes in game & waypoint) but the description of the event wasn’t changed to fall in line with that - hence everyone’s confusion for the event being this week.

With the announcement of more Twitch drops this weekend I feel like this emblem is definitely part of that HCS packet.
Just without the Ranked MP weekly challenges (thank goodness).

i really don’t use twitch at all, mostly just to catch a Day[9] stream if i can - he’s the only creator that has curated a twitch community i actually enjoy being a part of. otherwise… no thanks

BUT i didn’t realise that Halo was utilising that drop feature. i better go over there now & make sure my acc is set-up - and figure out when the next stream with drops is!

Next drops are this weekend with the HCS :wink: You will be able to get the HCS Winter weapon coating for the AR, BR and sidekick and also a stand and a nameplate.
