Bounty Hunters in the Halo universe?

My friend and I were just playing Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and when we unlocked the character Jango Fett, we looked to the Halo 4 game box on our right and thought; “Are there any bounter hunters like Jango Fett in the Halo universe?”

Sure, there could be bounty hunters in the Halo universe. They’re just hunters who hunt for bounty. But could there actually be lone-wolf bounty hunters like Jango Fett who could actually reach that much success and fame, and be as influential as him? Be able to adapt to almost any situation, and have the most money and coolest high-tech gadgets and weaponry around?

Bounty hunting is just a common job, so of course their’s bounty hunters in the Halo verse. Just not any that are mentioned in canon iirc.

a bounty Hunter is a hired gun that eliminates a specific target/set of targets

so therefore Jackal snipers can technically be considered bounty hunters

Thats a mercenary or assassin.

A Bounty Hunter is actually someone who hunts down skips (fugitives who get bail money from a bail bondsman and then run off without showing up in court).

Bounty hunters capture fugitives for a monetary reward.

Your definition is either an assassin or a mercenary not a bounty hunter. In a way Palmer would have been a bounty hunter if she were to get a reward for killing Halsey who, as far as Osman is concerned, is a fugitive.

I’m pretty sure there are bounty hunters in the space of both factions. I’d love a bounty hunter/assassin/police game set in the Halo universe. With some conspiracy of humans smuggling covenant contraband.
