I’ve decided long ago to never buy games ahead of launch as developers have adopted Day one patches which makes the experience feel frustrating for the first few days. Once the patches roll in, the I’ll buy the game
I caved and bought today, but whether or not I cancel that preorder hinges on whether or not gamestop is doing a midnight release (mine may not be). If they’re not, I might as well just wait a few hours and support my local game shop.

Couldn’t agree with you more. I’m still waiting for the info on trading the code for the disc.
Getting the LCE a week early and predownloading the game sounds great, but you can’t really trade a used code for a brand new disc. Lol
-The whole thing about getting a steel case without a disc is baffling, I tell you.
Console and LCE preordered on Amazon. Call me a sheep or whatever you like, but I love this franchise and I’ll spend as much money as I reasonably can to see it stay alive. I’ll have my digital download ready for midnight AND have a physical disc for my collection. Passing off my old Xbox to a friend for dirt cheap so I can have a friend to play with. This is the only franchise I will ever do this for.
