Bought campaign thought armor boxes gave armor

I was shocked that you receive literally nothing for beating the game on legendary. Sometimes I wonder if anyone at 343 has ever played Halo.

Hmmm I’m curious if that will be true. You’re probably right about the event core and a paid BP core, but I’m not so sure there will just be another free armor core. With how little content there is for Mk7, I would expect the free stuff in the next battle pass to just be for that armor core. In fact, I’m pretty sure the only reason we got the MKVII armor core for free is that they had to offer something for free players to wear day one.

Hoping you’re right though! Although I’m not a big fan of fractures/non-canon content, Yoroi wasn’t terrible. I’m hoping that at least 2/3s if not 3/4 of the games content continue to be canon armors. I really regret buying the battle pass already and supporting this greed, but man it is satisfying to have three armor cores lined up.

Going by the posts I’ve seen from you, I’d say it’s more than a guess…

If they give a new free core each season they’ll be able to re-sell items players have already bought, but for the new core. Not putting out a new free core each season would be leaving money on the table imo.

I really want them to add more ways to get armor outside of the pass and events. Halo 3 had the best unlock system where achievements gave armor so if you were good enough you could get cool armor quickly but if you weren’t you never got something like Recon. Gave us something to strive for.

In Infinite I want armor like:

Helioskrill (beat all mainline games on legendary)
Hayabusa (get a certain high achievement count)
Recon (complete really hard challenges)

And more, some for finding skulls, or getting certain high skill stats/plays in PvP.

As it sits there is no good reward for doing good or completing challenges.

I never got recon but it was still so cool and I would love for them to bring something like that back.

To me, Helioskrill sort of seems like an underwhelming reward for beating all of the main games on Legendary (also is that including Halo 5? :scream: ).
I might think about trying to get the Drengr armors for doing that (as long as it was just the MCC and Infinite campaigns).

I’d hope it would be as cool as the Halo 3 version.
The Halo 4 concept doesn’t look very good.

343 never said Campaign would give armour, they said unlocks for multiplayer. People got hyped and thought it meant armour.

Oof. Ya hate to see it.

To be fair, the FACT that Frederic’s helmet isn’t referred to as Centurion Gen-3 but rather as Cohort Gen-3 is a change that was unnecessary, but implies that this will be an unlockable helmet in the game.

Now a days you can never think or assume anything… Always do a quick google search. But yeah campaign should have granted a armor set or two. But you shouldn’t be all that surprised, in H5 it was cram everything in the req packs… So of course it’s cram everything in the store to sell. Sadly the days of being so to show off some gaming prowess by unlocking cosmetics via game play are long gone… It’s all about showing how much you are willing to spend now.

Bro I have said it other post, a Casino is more generous and provides more content than the Games being made today.

I’m just astounded as to how Desperate for every penny 343 is.

The Armor cores were specifically design for them to have the opportunity to re sell us stuff we already have but for another core.

And in Halo 5 we had 60 default colors… All they had to do was make those same 60 colors the default one for every core… But instead they started us off with 10 and have been charging us for the rest, the consider Default generic colors to be premium content … remember from their mouths on their blogs they called paid cosmetics premium content and we would still have a tons of ways to unlock cosmetics for free.

But they couldn’t have even made those 50 colors grindable things. For each core… Nope they went no we want to charge for each and every possible thing we can.

Other F2P games are more generous than Halo Infinite.
Hell we may have to pay for Updates and fixes at the rate 343 is going at

Imagine buying something and not researching it before. Real dunces in this.

I was incredibly disappointed that not only do the armor lockers not contain any armor… they are just the same rewards repeated over and over. Getting a banished coating for every vehicle and weapon, is not a different reward each time. That’s just filler.

The only difference were the Spartan skins based on the Spartans you find, the cool Crimson shiny skin, and Dogfight Markovich for the Wasp.

Dude, I just realized the terrain graphics look. Better in Ghost recon Breakpoint than they do in Halo Infinite
