I’m sure everyone here has seen the short team coco Conan gameplay bit released a few days ago. For those of you who didnt… ohai
In every bit of halo 4 gameplay seen (in the first look and in screenshots) we have seen the gamertag of the enemy in red above their head (as we have seen in every halo game to date)
In the conan gameplay however, there is no gamertag.
I could be wrong, but do you think there is a possibility that Frankie was fighting a bot?
I doubt it was Conan Playing, though I could be wrong.
Friendly/Enemy AI in custom games anyone?
that would be cool if they had this, but i think they just edited out the gamertag so the community doesn’t spam him/her with messages about playing halo 4 early

That is a good point, but we did See gamertags in the halo 4 first look trailer (WarBringer)
One thing that came to mind is.
What if: Instead of having players join mid match because of quitters. How about we replace said player with a bot?
Ill make a separate thread for that later.

That is the worst idea ever! I would rather play an entire enemy team by myself rather than having a team of bots. The bot thing just isn’t a good idea in general except the case with blops because it is a game entirely made of bots and you just to get the feel of multiplayer before actually playing PvP. I am just not a fan of bots in a competitive atmosphere.
Bots couldn’t handle both the evolution of movement throughout the lifetime of a Halo game, and the Forge maps that are implemented over time in Matchmaking.
You would assume such a simple thing as a profile name can be edited. And no it was not a Gamertag, as Halo 4 isn’t online yet as far as I know. There would also be no point in doing that small clip online either.
Even if it’d be great to have bots, this is just wishful thinking.

I don’t know. In terms of hiding gamertags, the best Bungie could do is blur them out…
> It’s not a bot, they most likely turned off the GT over the head feature for recording reasons, or it wasn’t added as of that version of the game.
Thats a possibility.
But we cant say for sure.
Notice how terrible the player was?
Is anyone THAT bad? To focus on strafing and not fire a single shot?
The AI are at #1 on my list of worst things of Halo. I rage quit H3 a while ago because of how stupid the Elites were and the damage sponge enemies. Floodgate is competing with Sierra 117 and Halo as my most hated H3 level and it’s winning right now…
If there are AI, they must be built for the multiplayer and not merely ported or altered from campaign.

They would be offline gamer tags anyway, like they were in the First Look.
It could motivate boosting, you cant just make everyone in the opposite team leaves then boost the entire match. they should make rulez like if everyone one in the other team leaves then finish the match
Everyone would have there own spartan bot to train…and it could be optional to add them to the game. If someone wants to join then the players bot could be removed.
