I can respect the level of work put into bots in a training/practice setting, but the idea of putting such brain dead AI in matchmaking is just boggling. They become nothing more but a free kill for the other team or they will quite literally throw a match of oddball by taking the ball and just walking around the map with it aimlessly, giving the other team the ball on a silver platter. And we get stuck with them throughout the whole match because the game can’t find us a teammate. Being down a guy is bad enough, but the bot just makes it immensely worse.
Please introduce quitting penalties to deter quitting to begin with. Then, remove these bots. They make the game objectively worse.
Find it hard to disagree. I feel if bots are to backfill matches they need to be ODST or Spartan level, otherwise they’re free kills for the other team.

I think ODST, and Spartan if the SBMM of the players in the match were high enough would be serviceable enough.

Spartan AI can kick a players -Yoink!- if they’re not paying attention, it’s actually kinda impressive. The marines in mm right now though? Completely useless.
It’d be good if the SBMM took player skill into account when assigning bots, cause I can see new players not wanting to be stomped by an AI, while making them actually viable teammates at higher skill levels. If that’s not possible though, they definitely need to be at least ODST.
