Bots for halo 6

Hi, I live in the U.K. and love to play halo when I get chance. The trouble I find is unless I play late at night I struggle to find multiplayer games. Due to working 12 hour shifts it’s a struggle to play late. But early in the morning before I go work is useless as it never connects to one. So I had a idea maybe they could add bots simular to gears of war to fill the low player count. What is your guys opinion on this?

I don’t think it’s easy for games to pull off bots where jumping is vital. Non of the campaign AI jump and that’s probably why it works in gears. Not to mention they might struggle on forged maps ( especially action sack). I hear your problem but personally I think it would be a complete waste of time.

Bots in GoW4 are notoriously easy to defeat compared to actual players. Halo multiplayer matches against bots would be essentially always victories, unless the game artificially ups there accuracy, damage, and health. But then it won’t feel authentic.

And as said above, mobility is more complex in Halo with the need to constantly move and jumping and all that, while gears is just “find a spot, hide, shoot, find another spot”; it’s more simplistic and therefore easiest for an AI not to manage. Halo bots would never be able to move like human players. That being said having multiplayer matches against bots would be ok so long as the rewards for them were sufficiently curtailed.

Your right dude now I think about it more, playing campaign on legendary the AI are useless. It would be a waste of time playing without a challenge. I’ll just have to hope for better connectivity in halo 6.

Feel free to move the discussion to a wishlist thread.
