Hope you all are having a fantastic day. I saw a post a few weeks ago about space battles in Infinite/Halo in general like the original Battlefront 2. This got me thinking and a video by LateNightGaming also brought this up.
The original Battlefront games are still played to this day due to the fact you can play with AI bots. I feel it would be fabulous if Halo (if not Infinite, at some point in the future) got bot matches for multiplayer, i.e. enemy Spartans controlled by AI.
I think this would help new players get used to maps or custom gamers/forgers test out their ideas (naturally certain advanced ideas might still only be possible with players)
I’m thinking the AI could also be scaled by difficulty options similar to campaign/firefight
- Easy - AI basically is as dumb as rocks, rarely shoots and mostly misses, rarely takes cover or does anything intelligent really, long reaction times. Occasionally picks up weapons on maps but not power weapons. - Normal - AI now takes cover or otherwise attempts to evade/strafe slightly more often (like Elites), shoots more often though accuracy remains around the same. The AI also begins to use grenades and will pick up power weapons though will not aggressively move towards them and rarely will use them. - Heroic - AI is now more accurate, shoots as fast as the weapon would allow(no cheats like in campaign). Moves aggressively towards power weapons and AI starts getting headshots. Attempts grenade bounces around corners on occasion. The enemy team also works better as a team overall. - Legendary - The AI is super accurate, uses power weapons extensively and extremely effectively (think toned down sniper jackals), if the player flees around a corner, it will attempt to kill a player with a grenade bounce. Sneaking behind an AI player is virtually impossible unless crouched and the AI has very fast reaction/response times.In addition, I would like to see modifiers in settings similar to Reach firefight affecting things like hearing, grenade use etc along with the normal custom settings.
Obviously this wouldn’t/shouldn’t replace traditional multiplayer and you would earn far less XP like (offline/custom) Reach firefight compared to online and you won’t be able to complete challenges (which I hope and they should return in Infinite!) bar a few exemptions like “Kill X number of enemies in any mode”.
Overall, I’d love to hear your opinions on this. I think this mode would be great for people who may be too tired to play online against humans or more likely just want to maybe chill a bit and get unfrigginbelievables 
EDIT: There could potentially be a mythic difficulty as well though I am not sure how this would work without skulls or some disadvantage to the player. If there were skulls, they certainly would have to be different from the campaign as the modifiers/custom game settings above can more or less achieve the same effects as skulls, e.g. fog could be achieved by turning motion trackers off. On the other hand, I’m not sure how other skulls like famine would work seeing as how the AI could pick up weapons.
