I just want to understand how it works. My buddy got worked, I mean he went like 13 and 8 against bots. Next match I’m up and go 13 and 4, not phenomenal, but his game was neck and neck, mine was a steaktacular.
Now that is out of the way, I guest what I am asking is….”Does halo infinite adapt bot difficulty based on a per game basis?”
snickerdoodle if you are reading this, hit me up with that insider preview, I got it from my broski, but I’m loyal fam.
Idts, I believe they turned up the bots to ODST mode yesterday. They stay at one level to my knowledge.

its based on the map live fire is marine difficulty and recharge is ODST difficulty. and maybe you are just better than your friend or he just had a bad game or whatever.
They changed the bots to ‘ODST’ difficulty yesterday. They’ll be changed to Spartan difficulty soon enough.

I assume thats another level up? My buddy went 15 and 2 the second game so I guess it was just a warmup

Not true. The bot difficulty has been raised to ODST universally. Recharge was simply added as a second map.
The difficulty of the bots sint uniform because they don’t always do the same thing. Sometimes they’ll just stand still when you shoot them, noob crouch or run around the map like headless chickens. Other times they’ll aim bot you from across the map. Generally speaking I think the positioning and map awareness of the bots needs improving (if its even possible) and the aim of the bots nerfing. Theyre not hard to beat as you can basically always out position them but their aim is unreal. It really does feel like they have aimbot.
Sometimes they’re challenging, and other times they just stand there while I shoot them.

This 100%. I feel like they seem to play as a team pretty well as about 60% of the time I happen upon 2-4 of them at once but they can be kind of derpy with the crouch and random throwing of grenades at a wall that’s not in the direction of a player. The real problem though seems to lie in their accuracy, it’s too much.
I know they are bots that are getting tougher but when they fire at you they don’t seem to miss at all, so if they are trying to use bots that imitate how humans would play I think that needs some tweaking. Getting wrecked from across the map by a perfect grenade toss before you are in their line of sight followed by a couple perfectly placed bullets is a bit rough when they aren’t even at max difficulty. Has me a bit worried about Spartan level coming up.
I think they definitely need an accuracy nerf to be a bit more realistic at this level. I don’t want them to all be pushovers but the aimbot level of bs they seem to have makes it less fun. I am not the best FPS player these days, I’ve had decent matches at like 16-4 but others have been much worse seemingly at random depending on how the bots behave. Always accurate, but not always smart.
So far, the best tactic is just pre-nading their location at the start (because they all go to the same place every single game) and sticking together.
