Might be just me, but i dont feel a huge difference in difficulty between odst and spartan bots? Maybe they throw nades a bit better, but they still struggle to throw them on people above 'em
Tought(hoped?) theyd tear me a new one, but so far im quite unschated.
I think bots are meant to be more of a small challenge and a light workout rather than a multiplayer replacement.
The main difference with the bot difficulties seems to be a slightly higher form of aggression and advanced movement. They keep you on your toes but I don’t think there meant to literally destroy you.
I’ve not lost a single match to bots. Never even been close to such a scenario and that’s fine. It’s more of a warm up & educational tool. But they definitely put up a fight and will punish you for not paying attention or making a bad play.
I liked playing against the bots in multiplayer - it was fun.
The Marine bots didn’t really offer much a challenge but when the ODST came out - that’s when the fun began. They were not only aggressive but they worked in groups and flanked you, at times - playing even better than human players in PVP (thanks for finally letting that happen). You really had to have players who were intermediate or better to win a match against them in Live Fire and Overcharge - but in Bazaar, well the ODST didn’t perform so well, as they became predictable and usually appeared and fought in the same spots in the map.
Unfortunately, the Spartan bots were a complete disappointment. It was nice that they can use power weapons and tried to throw grenades where it was “predicted” to where you would run to but they didn’t work as well as the ODST bots - no semblance of coordination or strategy, and, at times, performed worse than the Marine bots, no matter which map you were on.
None of the bots were a real challenge in my opinion too. I think they were more curious to see what weapons were used against them and the play styles we did,
