If the devs are so worried about bad players getting stomped in casual play, why bot bootcamp? Casual modes should be random or connection based if there are literal bot lobbies available for low skill players.
Has this dawned on anyone else how absolutely knuckleheaded it is to have both features?
You could also argue that bot bootcamp is also the perfect place for good players to “chill”. They can go on all the killstreaks they want without raising a single bead of sweat. And leave everyone else to play each other in peace.
Honestly, this sound like a better solution. As people that want to abolish SBMM seemingly want to play bad players instead of people their skill levels so they can stomp them into the ground, having them go to Bot Bootcamp seems like an ideal thing to do honestly for that genuine casual experience.
I mostly just want a nice mix of players that are better or worse. Most of the time, in reality, sbmm actually screws people like me who work 40 hours a week. As long you’re not total dog doo doo, you’re gonna end up sweating your gonads off literally every game.
I’m just tired of mid wits like you who pretend this isn’t the experience for 80% of players in sbmm lobbies.
Any decent player can smoke those bots with half a controller. SBMM turns every match into a sweaty tournament wannabe contest and ruins the experience for anyone who has this thing called a job and doesn’t play video games cracked out on gfuel 80 hours a week.
I know it takes two brain cells to comprehend this but going 7-9 every match isn’t fun. I’d like to be able to slay out on occasion too. So pull your head out and think for once. A player like me is going to get a mix of players that are better or worse because I’m average. What I’m tired of is everyone in the lobby being a gfuel -Yoink!- except me.
The better you are, the harder it’s going to be to find people to pair you with that are around your skill level.
If you want to remove the problem entire, it’d be best to party up with players you know to be reliable before queuing up in the first place. AI Matchmakers will never be good enough compared to just picking your own teammates yourself.
But there are limits. If the skill range is too wide then the top players have to dominate (and complain that they have to carry everyone) and the bottom players are sacrificial pawns.
I suggest some sort of ventilated underwear is in order?
But seriously. How much you sweat is entirely up to you. And how do you know your opponents are sweating? They could very well be much better players just chilling.
Feel free to play loose. Your relevant social MMR will drop. And you can have a bit of fun. Providing of course you don’t then go on a tear and push your MMR back up.
I mean yeah throwing matches to get easier lobbies is def an option. Since mp is free I can also just create new accounts too. Why not? Seems reasonable .
This is nothing short of an excuse. It doesn’t take much time at all to post on forums that you’re looking for party members to regularly play with. Then you can come back later when people have replied to your topic and work things out from there. The truth is you don’t want to even try. Well, enjoy dealing with RNG Teammates then, cause that’s all your ever going to get.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not advocating Smurfing.
The idea is that you play “chill”. Take out all the “sweaty” aspects of your game. Muck around. Use different weapons. Take risks. Try and pull off fancy (silly) kills.
Your MMR will drop to that level of play / intensity. You will get opponents more suited to that style of play. And hey presto. You get to “chill”. It’s what I do… and it works out great.
In ranked I work hard at not dying. Sacrificing my play to the team role. Running from 50:50 battles. Whatever helps the team win. In social I grab the nearest potato peeler and charge head long into destiny.
Although games should still be close. That’s what SBMM is for. You just have to let go of the result and whatever your K/D ends up being. Just go out there and have fun.
If by “easier” lobbies you just want to sit back and go on killing streaks without any effort. Then nope. Those Gold and Silver players are probably working just as hard as you, and they don’t deserve to come home and be your sacrificial “chill”.
I will admit I enjoyed that once in awhile occasion in H2/H3 where you would get some noobs and just stomp them out like trash. Anything not ranked should have some randomness in the match making
