Are they taking that away? It is the closest thing to PvE.
i think and hope not, it should be permanent, especially for players who come new its very important they start there, its the playlist i play the most because bots are fun to play with
Why are you asking, where did you hear this?
I did not see it listed in the blog post as being one of the playlists for next season.
If you check the news, it is not listed in the blog about playlists.
Honestly, that would probably be the last straw as far as MP. I have been trying to be supportive while waiting for PvE. I do some PvP during events to earn things and have bought from the shop. I do Bot Bootcamp because it is the only fun mode for me.
If I have done all of this for a year for nothing, I will not be happy.
Pretty sure the blog post was just talking about the pvp playlists.
They may have forgotten, but also the Bot bootcamp playlist is kind of useless when we have training mode. Its main advantage is allowing players who want to ease into multiplayer an easier transition.
I hope so. I am trying to find out for sure. Perhaps, I should check Twitter to see if it was asked there.
For me, it’s main advantage is giving me a place to earn XP without having to endure PvP. It is so much more relaxed. I still prefer Firefight by far, but BB is fun.
I can see that, like I said, it is possible that they forgot. I personally forget it’s there half the time, wouldn’t surprise me if they did too.
It is being discussed on Twitter, but no one knows for sure.
I guess it would give me an excuse to go back to Halo 5 Firefight. I always thought 400 kills was possible, but never got it. 347 was my best.
Honestly Bot Boot camp is the only Matchmaking playlist I will play because until 343 either nixes the free to play model, not likely, or adds a crossplay toggle, I REFUSE to play against actual players until PVP cheaters are something I am not FORCED to deal with.
almost no one plays it
Personally, I think it’s a good way to get some practice going, to sharpen my own skills.
Bot bootcamp should not be leaving. I’m pretty certain that that’s part of the foundation of Halo.
I don’t use boot bootcamp at all. But I’m a longtime fan of the series, and I know how hard it is to come into Halo MP as a new player. I’ve watched multiple work colleagues over the years try Halo for a week, decide it’s too hard, and never play it again.
Bot Bootcamp has to stay. There’s no other option. It’s too great of an onboarding tool not to keep around. I’ll be flabbergasted if it’s taken away.
Edit: I lied now that I think about it, I convince my wife to split screen into bot bootcamp line once every 3 months lol
Well, this is a problem. Time for some explicit instruction for the children at 343.
343, do NOT remove Bot Bootcamp game modes from Halo Infinite. Frankly, this is one of the few tolerable ways that some players can complete challenges within a reasonable time frame. As only PvE mode outside of Campaign, it would be a silly mistake to damage Halo Infinite’s minimally diverse sandbox with its removal.
Remember, this is an instruction. Keep Bot Bootcamp within Halo Infinite.
If it’s on the chopping block it’s because not enough people play it.
Challenges are now friendlier and playlist agnostic - so you don’t need bots to do them. Which will drop numbers even harder.
You will probably have access to setting up your own bot matches through customs and/or Forge - so a dedicated playlist is no longer needed.
And finally, they are probably sick of people trying to use it to manipulate their global MMR (even though I suspect most had no idea what they were doing and/or why).
Wich challenge now did you need BB for then? Almost every challenge was for PvP, so you couldn’t even use BB. And the most annoying weapon-challenges (sigh, Pulse rifle) were already not available in BB. Only the easy ones like the AR, SK and BR were available in BB, but those are already easy to get in PvP.
