Will Bot Arena allow us to progress in the game so we still gain rank and BattlePass, or will proper game progression only be for the competitive players?

Yes, you will be able to gain battle pass exp against bots. But that will taper off. It’s designed so that the daily and weekly challenges have “tiers” you progress through while you play. Tier 1 which are the first ones you get every day/week are doable in bot matches, but tier 2 and up will require you to play against players.
